3 stars a few years back but recently they are 5 stars so now, they're 4!...4 years ago I wrote this: Chill but odd place. There's music playing in the background. You can have conversations here. Doesn't have the vibe of open friendliness regarding crowd, atmosphere & service. Service used to be much better. I'd go here again if I was craving beer, in the area, wasn't busy inside, someone really wants to go here & maybe when there's a genuine warmth from servers.

You have a lot of great choices for taps and brews in Berkeley. The Sierra Nevada Torpedo room sets itself apart from the rest as a special places to find super fresh brews you can't find in stores. No expense spared on the architecture!

I had the best visit here, the staff are phenomenal, and professional without the attitude you will get at Cornerstone or Jupiter. The best crowd in Berkeley, the food and beer are also great.!!

Visiting the Torpedo Room is a fun way to taste local beers (make sure to get a flight). They have quite a variety, from different IPAs to stouts to wheat beers, some fruity, some spiced, some light, some hoppy. It's a great deal too, and a fun experience overall. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the beers.

I had a great visit here! They have a good variety of beers and I enjoyed all of the ones I tried. The taproom has a nice, chill atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful! We had a flight of beers to taste and some light appetizers and I thought prices were very reasonable for the area of Berkeley we were in and for the quality of the food and beer. They also have some nice merch would be great gifts or souvenirs for travellers. I would definitely visit again, and I recommend it for beer lovers in the area!

Sierra Nevada is a great local beer to the Bay Area with somewhat of an environmental conscience but this pub os located in the posh area of Berkeley… I can’t believe the community allows this expensive, somewhat pretentious, outdoor mall-like city streets… The pub has priceyand limited selection of finger foods albeit they are quality snacks. Brie and fig toast with tomato soup was really good but portion is small and price is high $15 (I am sure it’s because rent mist be high in this new part of Berkeley). I say avoid this area if you want to ‘feel’ Berkeley but if you are there and hungry (like I was) this is not a bad place to snack. Beers not disappointing: Hazy Little Thing 9% fruity, refreshing, not hoppy LUV it and Narwhal dark beer, rich taste LUV IT too.
