We requested a table by the window and receded in the middle of the room. I understand window tables are not guaranteed. However, two minutes after we sat down three tables, evacuated were cleared and remained empty for five minutes until other parties came. We could've at least been advised if we would wait 5 to 10 minutes for a window table. The restaurant was freezing inside and everyone I do mean everyone had their jackets on while sitting at the table. Our salad was never delivered and I requested it to be removed often tab. Then I realized our second cocktail never arrived, and we were done with dinner. When I went to call him the waiter. He showed up with a cocktail, placed it on the table and walked away. I had no chance to refuse that one either. Overall, these issues amounted to an over priced night and left feeling very disappointed.

I had the wedges salad and clams.. everything was delicious. But I think they need more help some customers left because there was only one waitress handling that side. She was doing her best.

We came in for a Birthday. Got seated by the window, great view. Nobody ever came to our table. We were ignored for at least 20 minutes. They weren’t busy. We didn’t get water. Tables were cleared around us, other gilds were served. We walked out.

We sat at a great table next to the window and had beautiful views of the bay. Saw several sea lions. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. Our food order came out very quickly and it tasted great! I'm ready to go back!

I've eaten here many times and it never disappoints. This time I had the"lunch box ". The portion was as generous as a dinner. The Blackened Rockfish was perfectly cooked and prepared. I can't wait to come back!

Our server doubled as bar tender but was very efficient and friendly. The special lunch menu did nut skimp on the size of the starter and entree. Blackened cod was delicious. Ceasar Salad was flavorful. And if you want to impress anyone, the view is beyond spectacular!

We made a reservation ahead of time to celebrate an anniversary. We were seated quickly. Our server Ivan was kind, patient, and easy to work with! The food was AMAZING! Everything we tried was 10/10 -pacific oysters -lobster bisque -Wagyu Steak -Cod -lobster mac and cheese A surprise dessert was offered and was amazing!!! -creme brulee Will definitely come again! I visited Skates on the Bay last Saturday for a date night, and the experience was consistently strong across the board. The staff handled a tree-nut allergy with real care, checking dishes proactively and making the whole meal feel relaxed instead of risky. We shared all of the food. My date had cocktails and wine, and I stuck to the Guiltless non-alcoholic option. She enjoyed her drinks, and my mocktail was balanced and refreshing. The seasonal oysters were fresh, cold, and clean. The Dungeness Crab Cocktail came with a generous portion and the kind of simple seasoning that lets the crab stand on its own. The Cauliflower Shrimp Scallop dish was a pleasant surprise, and the 12oz Prime Rib came out tender and cooked exactly as ordered. We wrapped up with the Crème Brûlée, which had a perfect sugar crust and a smooth custard underneath. Service was attentive, kind, and well-paced all evening. Combined with the bay views, the whole night had an easy, elevated feel without trying too hard. I'd absolutely return, especially for the oysters and the atmosphere.
