One of the oldest Subway in the country. After 22 years of serving, unfortunately this Subway location is closing tomorrow Friday, July 8th, 2022. Most of people don't know that when you operate Subway, you are under their contract for every 20 years! It is bittersweet to see this place closed. I ordered this back in February, so not sure if this location has closed since then since Yelpers have reported it as closed? But in any case, I get some mailed coupons for this location occasionally, and decided to use one and give Subway a try since it's been many years since I last ate here. I had sweet onion chicken teriyaki, as well as some other things like lettuce, cucumbers, pickles, and cheese. Unlike many restaurants, they can make you your custom sandwich there on the spot so there was a lot of me trying to enunciate since I was wearing a mask, but the staff were patient and made sure to ask me about every single thing that could go into it to make sure my order was correct. There was no one waiting ahead of me, so it was fairly quick since they mostly just needed to heat it up for me, and then I paid with credit card. With coupons/discounts, it's definitely a pretty good deal for the amount of food, so if you want something quick and aren't looking for the fanciest gourmet food, this is a convenient spot especially near campus. I only wish they had more vegetarian or vegan protein options for those who have this dietary restriction, but I do enjoy the teriyaki. (Also, I'm sure COVID-19 reducing the customers affected how quickly I was able to get service, looking at the other reviews for this place pre-COVID-19)
