So I hadn't been to a subway since I was mildly outraged that their $5 footlongs were closer to $6. It's been a while. I feel that the chain has kinda gone downhill. It's now nearly $10 for a foot long which is rather mediocre in flavor. $10! At this location not all the bread types were available and the bread I chose (Italian) somewhat fell apart as I tried to consume my sandwich. I don't care about service at a fast food place for the most part, but for those who do, you'd definitely get more attention and energy from a goldfish.

These guys take great care in making their sandwiches, so I came back a few times and even purchased gift cards. HOWEVER, I discovered that I had been overcharged, first time just suspicious, and 2nd time I was not happy and went back to confront the people who work there. Something very fishy going on, watch how they ring up your bill with suave "confusion" - apparently there are separate charges for "hot" and "cold" sandwiches, etc. etc. All these extra "charges" that are not specified appears on the final bill. The experience left me with such disappointment. I wanted this Subway to work for me, I do love their signature sandwiches. But this shop has issues...

Update: July, 2014. Not sure if the store has a new manager or owner, but it's much better now! We stopped in one day when I saw 3 or 4 other customers inside, and 2 ladies working the counter instead of an empty store and one slacker employee dude playing on his phone. The ladies are friendly and fast, and make great sandwiches. They are very professional, and the food is fresh, and the orders are accurate.

I'm not sure exactly what to think about this subway. Sometimes the sandwiches are incredible, other times the bread and chicken are stale, the watery sauce applied makes the bread soggy in 5 minutes, and they've even gotten my order wrong once, or twice (...). Basically every time I go there is a 50-50 chance in me getting a good/ bad sandwich. And the reason I go there now is because it's probably the healthiest food I could get in under five minutes when in a rush.

Wow...this Subway location is freaking G-H-E-T-T-O~!!! If you have coupons, they don't honor them. They give you lots of bs excuses. Bread not fresh. They refuse to toast your bread when requested. Vegetables not fresh. Meat too dry. Meat had hair in it. Meat was questionable. Sauce was watered down. Took one bite, then gave the rest to a hobo. Thank god it was only a 6" sandwich. WTF SUBWAY?!

I wrote a previous review regarding this Subway at 1615 Solano Ave., back in February. I tried to link it to this review, but couldn't get it to work. Therefore, I used the old copy & paste method. LOL! Here it is: This Subway has changed significantly in the last two years. It took over new ownership & new management. The service has improved drastically! The staff takes great care in making sure that your sandwich is made exactly how you would like it. The management/owner is very friendly and concerned about his customers wants and needs. He has even taken the time to personally go visit the local surrounding businesses, including my office, to introduce himself and offer special coupons and deals! How sweet is it that a new business owner takes the time out of his day to care enough to get to know his neighbors! This Subway needs to be given a new chance guys! I know that in previous years, their customer service and care for their customers really sucked! I would have given them a poor review back then as well!! I thought they were so bad that I even stopped patronizing this establishment, even though it is nearly next door to the office. But for the past couple years, after the new owner took over and hired himself an awesome staff; they have become one of the better Subways by far! Give these guys a new shot! They deserve it!

The bread here is almost always stale. Once I took 1/2 of it back and showed them the stale bread and they told me it was because it was toasted, but I didn't have it toasted! I went back months later, and when she took the bread out, I asked her if it was soft, because sometimes it's not and she said yes. Then I took the sandwich back to work and guess what? The top is crumbling off because it's freakin' stale! This Subway needs to get their s*** together. They are doing something really wrong with the bread and I've only experienced this at THIS particular Subway.

Great employees, but poor ownership. I used to love this Subway and the girlfriend and I would spend about $300-$400 a month buying sandwiches at this location alone (it was our go-to-spot for food). The location also had coupons that were a good deal. Many of the employees were very nice and a pleasure to be around; However, everything changed for us the day we ran into the owner.... After presenting a coupon to the subway employee and she made our sandwiches accordingly, upon ringing up the total the owner ran over and said we had to pay full price. He claimed that although we were using the coupon correctly (clear as day to us and his employee), he said that "subway corporations messed up the menu" (that they send to every store, by the way) and charged us full price (this is even after he admitted we were right). In sum, the "corporate mistake" was a lie to get us to pay full price after-the-fact. Not a great business method for keeping customers. Instead of dealing with bait-and-sandwich tactics, we now spend our money at a different subway who respects and appreciates their customers.

I've had a consistently pleasant experience in this Subway the four or five times I've visited it over the past couple of weeks. Staff was very nice and helpful, the subs were fine. There isn't an overabundance of seating but I managed to get a seat every time.

The other reviews for this place aren't very good, but I didn't experience any of their troubles. It's just what you would expect from Subway. They also have ice cream, which is pretty cool.
