Sweet Bites made the most amazing cake for our two year-old daughter’s birthday. Our toddler loves opening and closing doors so we asked them to make a door cake and this is how it turned out. Absolutely stunning! And delicious!

I needed a birthday cake last minute and I’m so glad I came here! They were very kind and recommended the lemon and blueberry cake. Moist and flavorful, it was a real crowd-pleaser! They wrote a beautiful custom note on top and even included a candle. Very reasonably priced too! I highly recommend 👍🎉🎂

While on vacation from Alaska my family and I came to Sweet Bites and it was phenomenal! I was not expecting the service and presentation to be so on point. The attention to detail was amazing. Definitely the best place we have been to during our entire trip. We will be back! Thank you.

Google is wrong, it's closed on Wednesdays. It looks like it has lovely pastries but I couldn't eat one.

If you are looking for cake and pastries, then this place seems amazing, with a lot of regulars and strong community vibes.

We, however, were looking for breakfast/brunch, and for that, Sweet Bites Bakery & Brunch was disappointing.

We ordered the “loaded” toasts which were quite small. I got them with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and that combo was not as flavorful as I’d expected. And it left me hungry.

My partner ordered the brioche french toast that was shockingly small and again, just very meh. The potatoes were the highlight.

Our friend ordered the bacon and egg croissant which was also kind of meh - note that if you want your bacon crispy, make sure you mention it when ordering.

The highlight was the coffee, well pulled and beautifully presented.

The vibe inside is nice and warm. I normally love cute neon signs but I started to feel dizzy with the one they had inside so much so that I had to ask if they would lower the intensity. I was so embarrassed!! But I probably would have had to leave if they hadn’t turned it off.

Lots of people order their cakes from here, and they do look very lovely. It’s also next to a memory care facility so I can see a lot of staff and families from there coming here.

But since we were doing our brunch tour of Berkeley and we are evaluating places on the flavor, quality, value, experience of breakfast and brunch, we will not have is coming back to Sweet Bites Bakery and Brunch - the value, the taste, and the experience overall just wasn’t worth it.

We picked up a German Chocolate cake on Sunday. It did not disappoint 👏 it was moist and tasted so fresh, the Chocolate was amazing. Can't wait to go back, the menu really brings back the old Merritt bakery vibes. Love it!

Because of the modern architecture, you might think Sweet Bites would be a cold, corporate cafe. But it is a friendly place with great food and coffee and even greater staff. It has soul.

Yesterday I had a cinnamon roll that was just how I like it- not too sweet. So many places make sugar bombs. Not Sweet Bites, despite their name.

But their management and staff are definitely sweet indeed. We’d bring my elderly father there and they were always so kind and patient with him. When he passed, the manager hugged my mom and even cried. So sweet!

It’s those little touches of warmth, humanity, and love that turn a place from just a business into a family favorite. So, I hope they thrive because it has become our new regular spot!

The sweetest family owns and runs this wonderful bakery and brunch spot! They have plenty of decorated whole cakes readily available. I walked in and purchased a cake with raspberry filling, I would recommend adding fresh raspberry to cut the sweetness of the cake. Their chocolate tres leches cake is my absolute favorite!

This place is so cute inside! And the owner is super talented as well as warm and welcoming. I came because a client asked me to take photos and a PTA acquaintance told me he loves it AND I am always on the hunt for places to source pastries for our monthly coffee mingle chats at my kiddo’s nearby elementary school. These cakes are intricate, beautiful, and the menu looks amazing! I ordered a steak salad and a chicken salad to go. Everything has options as far as dairy based dressing or not. Amanda brings 18 years of managerial experience to her own business and I’m so thrilled that she’s come to the neighborhood.

We were looking for a cute bakeshop to get our 5yo a cupcake, just as something special after being hospitalized for a month. We found this little gem, she thought it was so cool that they had a tiny ocean cake. She said this was much more cool than a cupcake so that was a win! The cake was really yummy,fluffy and not supersweet. We will definitely be back 😊 The place was also very clean and staff was very helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place 😋
