The ice cream is great every time. However, the overall vibe and customer service has drastically declined. The young woman with red hair was extremely standoffish and seemed disinterested in helping me. Unfortunately, I don’t think Tara’s will be what it used to be. The new decoration is so boring as well. Disappointed.

Since the new owner change the quality went down, the flavors arnt consistent and the orginal charm of the place isn't there anymore. Going on, yes the place was expensive but it went up after change in owners but quality in the ice cream itself went down making it not worth going too. I prefer the shop when the prior owner was still running it.

I haven't come here since 2015, and we used to come every 2 weeks. Came in when jasmine, pandan flavors were in, and we were very happy since we're vietnamese & obsessed with those flavors. Our kids picked those with matcha as well, and all were delicious. They nailed the pandan, and i appreciated that, love that they respect the ingredients & do it right. The girl behind the counter wasn't helpful or didn't want to be there. Wasn't so happy when I asked for samples to try before buying the ice cream, making me feel like I was bothering her.
My wife and I got adventurous and tried some exotic flavors - pandan and black sesame and both tasted amazing. Gonna try the banana and lavender next time

Ice cream here is VERY rich. Bordering on butter. As a lifelong dairy ice cream person, I preferred my partner’s dark chocolate sorbet, which was also rich, but not quite as dense as the flavors I had.
