Employees are all super nice and the restaurant is clean and has tons of seating. There’s a cute patio in the back too with plenty of seating. The mac and cheese is sooo good, def recommend! The chicken is yummy but sometimes comes out cold. Crispy potatoes can be amazing and so flavorful. Prices are fair. It’s in downtown Berkeley so parking is limited to street parking and hard to find, would walk or bus here

I absolutely love Tender Greens!!! There are few in NorCal, but very popular in SoCal... I would love to see more in the bay area!!! Grest atmosphere, very open and spacious, friendly service qnd engaging, and the food never disappoints! Fresh, flavorful, and healthy!!!

I’ve been coming to Tender Greens in Berkeley since I was a student, and it’s always been a go-to spot. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—not too salty, not bland—and the prices are super reasonable for the quality. It’s one of the few places in the Bay Area where I can eat a full, satisfying meal and not feel inflamed afterward, which says a lot about the quality of ingredients they use. Healthy, filling, and reliably good—thank you for always feeding me so well.

The food here is excellent, but the dine-in service can be extremely slow—even on a Saturday evening, wait times can exceed 30 minutes (to be honest this is random — sometimes just a 5-10min wait). It appears that the kitchen prioritizes mobile takeout orders over dine-in customers. On this visit, they informed me that the item I had ordered was unavailable 25 minutes after I placed the order.

Delicious high quality, healthy food! We got the salmon longevity bowl, fingerling potatoes, soup and lava cake and they were all amazing! We got take out but they have a patio, so we’re planning to go back in person. How does this place only have 4.2 stars?! I am so excited to have found Tender Greens.
I will be back great offerings and IPA great offerings and wine the customer service person was sweet enough to let me eat my dinner even though they were closed

5/28/24 Update:I just went back again today and this time i asked to speak to a manager before i ordered to make sure what happened last time would not happen again because i have been ordering the same thing since this location opened years ago. I ordered the same thing and asked for a discount and manager explained i was refunded last time so i said thank you and paid for my order $27.45 to the cashier and waited for a long time again but i thought i would rather wait and get correct order but as i was walking out of store i looked in my bag and did not see the mashed potatoes so i turned around and asked where the rest of my order was and guy quickly scooped mash potaoes into a container and i saw manager at front and mentioned missing mash potatoes and she just looked at me but my point was this happens quite often and i left irritated and came home and saw the guy only filled small container half way so i got a little amount of mashed potatoes. As i have mentioned, i have been coming here at this location for years and never complained before until now but i just want to get what i pay for; nothing more and nothing less; very disappointing.I have been going to this location since it was new and i am not sure what happened but this location has gone downhill. I purchased what i always purchase; the fried chicken plate with side of extra chicken but the chicken was tough and very salty. Last time they forgot the bread but they used to have to go orders in bigger containers but now the smaller portions is crammed in smaller container with less food. The chicken was so salty i could not eat it. The place was not busy but i waited at least 20 minutes if not longer. I saw an employee walk by with a huge stack of food for her break but we as paying customers now get less. I paid $26.40 but it was not worth the wait, not worth the amount of food i got, and the quality was not like before.
