I like this place. The food comes quickly and it's reliably decent. It has become my go-to Thai takeout when I'm short on time, or eat in when I just want something reliable. Some of the male waitstaff aren't super friendly, but a woman who cooked the food seemed kind.

I had the WORST chicken Pad Thai ever. Food was not hot enough, presented a bland flavor and the tofu and chicken tasted old. In addition to the owner and waitstaff being discriminative towards people with disabilities and their service animal. A formal report will be made to DOJ.

We've seen this place and kept saying we were going to try and finally did. Had lunch and it was definitely good. My wife said the vegetables and tofu were pretty good. This is the first time I've had mango curry and I was pleasantly surprised. And I love anything mango so I was pretty happy with it - you can go either way with something like that generally. There were four of us and everyone was pretty satisfied. I understand the couple we were with have been back already, lol. Good service. We'll be back too.

It's Americanized Thai food. I suppose every Thai restaurant has to cater to American palettes to some extent but the flavors are mild and not very complex. The proteins and vegetables didn't soak up the flavors that were there so everything was a bit under-seasoned. We had Panang curry with chicken, pad kee mao with deep fried tofu, pad Thai, jasmine rice and Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was the best out of those. It had its signature sour taste and the noodles were evenly covered in a thin layer of sauce. The panang had peas in it which is a little unusual. I'd prefer it without them. The rice was cooked very well. The Thai tea was good but tasted like the bottled version instead of fresh brewed. Portions are pretty decent. Plenty for one person but not quite enough for two people to share as a whole meal. Service wasn't great but it was near closing time so I don't fault them for that.

Yummy dinner with friends. Had a nice outside table with my friends. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious.

I don't understand the low rating. This place is such a fund that I've already been here twice within one week of moving to Berkeley! Everything is delicious, and the service is excellent. I do wonder why some people don't like it.

Thought I would leave a review for this place since there aren't many recent ones on Yelp. I ordered take out lunch for three people. Everything was accurate and the food was very delicious and plentiful. They were very good about explaining something about one dish that we had modified. I will definitely get food from here again. Their peanut sauce is one of the best I've had. We did not try their curries so I cannot speak to the flavor or heat of those. But the pad thai, vegetable spring rolls and wide rice noodle dishes we're very good.

While staying across the road at the Mariott, I decided to walk around the shopping center and stumbled upon Tha Siam. I pulled up their website while standing outside, and looked at the "Chef's Suggestions" list. I thought the Grilled Short Rib with Garlic Noodle dish sounded good, so I went for it. Everyone inside was extremely friendly to me and polite while I placed my order and waited for a short while. I like my food spicy, but I forgot to say anything about wanting extra heat while ordering. The gentleman at the register said he could include hot sauces for me, and I thanked him. I got my food to go as I planned to walk back to the hotel to eat, but when I opened it 5 minutes later in my room I was not disappointed. The meal was beautifully put together, and it was delicious. I squeezed the orange over the marinated beef, and I added the extra hot sauces: fantastic! I highly recommend trying Tha Siam if you are in the area.

Prawn Pad Thai and a cold Thai lager! The foods authentic and the quality is great for affordable meals. It's a hole in the wall and offers a great menu.

Terrible lunch. Green curry was watery and tastless, lack of vegetable variety ( mostly green beans), rice was dry and service was poor. It was a cold and windy day and owner refused to close the door. Will never return.

The Pad Thai is not good here. I ordered delivery and was disappointed. No lime on my dish either. Meat was tasteless, at least add a little salt and pepper to it. Green curry was good, lots of veggies and nice and spicy.

I am giving one star but if I could I would give a - 10! The waiter was extremely rude! It is essential to any business treat their customers nicely but apparently this place is yet to learn that!
