The portions are large, and I was very full and satisfied after eating the protein blast. The food feels healthy compared to a lot of other eat out restaurants, and I felt great the rest of the night.
Six stars for service, the person who prepared our food was really nice!

Really delicious and comforting meal. The protein bowl filled me up with some left overs for later. Very sweet service, answered all our questions and told us all about their food options. Homemade yogurt! Highly recommend

It's definitely interesting food. Not what we expected for dinner, but filling and heavy on rice. It's probably great for day time eating

If you're in the mood for a wholesome South Indian vegetarian delicacy, ThayirSadam Restaurant is an absolute must-try! The atmosphere is inviting and clean, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I enjoyed the meal yesterday with perfect portion, temperature and also papadums that come with it!!!
The food is not only delicious but also healthy, offering a fantastic balance of flavors and nutrients. The highlight, of course, is the ThayirSadam itself, which is rich and creamy, accompanied by a variety of delectable sides that enhance the experience.
Whether you're a fan of South Indian cuisine or new to it, this restaurant is sure to impress. The friendly service adds to the overall positive experience. Don’t miss out on this gem—your taste buds will thank you!

Best customer service ever - walked me through every step of the process, took a lot of care to make sure everything was how I wanted it! You can also add more spice/toppings as you eat! Owner checked in to make sure my meal was perfect and didn’t need any adjustments. Also super clean and nice environment to eat in! A hidden gem on telegraph

The short story: delicious food, wonderful service, lovely ambiance.
The long story: the food was extremely fresh and well prepared. They make their yogurt in house and take care with each ingredient. They prepare the tadka (oil tempered with spices, curry leaves, et. ) and add it to the meal right there - nothing is done ahead of time with shortcuts.
I love South Indian food and really enjoyed my meal. I came with a friend who was very new to the cuisine and really enjoyed it as well! An approachable and authentic way to eat really good South Indian cuisine.
The co-owner was there and was so good to us and shared with us what all went into the food and how she and her co-owner selected every aspect of the restaurant (the decorations, the things that added to the atmosphere). I highly recommend dining at a place where the passion comes through so strongly.
Ok also at the end here: it just tastes so good! Flavorful, filling, nutritious home cooking! Berkeley is lucky to have this spot!!
