THE Cheesesteakshop!!!Yeah no other company beats them! IB cheesesteaks suck in comparison!!Sadly the place in Berkeley the one place I used to go for 25 actually 30 plus years has now turned into a vet and there was only one place left in pinole or maybe Walnut Creek that I know of...So sad cuz this was one of my go to places
Best Cheesesteaks this side of Philly!!! Sadly, this location has closed... lost the lease to the building.
The place is great the cheese steaks are big and tasty. And what puts it over the top are the great people working there. Unfortunately they lost their lease and will be closing November 1st.
This location is a more than a bit long in the tooth, but that gives it character, not unlike the typical authentic cheesesteak joint in the Philly area. Don't believe me? Check out the pics hung on the wall all the way in the back of the shop of Pat's & Gino's in Philly; two shops that are famous for having legions of devout patrons that loathe the other shop's followers - in true City of Brotherly Love tradition. (Truth be told, the best cheesesteaks aren't found at either place nowadays anyway. Yeah, I said it!) This location feels like it could be down the street from either in Philly, minus tha accent & attitude.Amoroso's rolls flown in from Philly are the key; you won't find them at any other cheesesteak purveyor in The Bay. Order a king with white American cheese for the full experience.
They make a great sandwich. Steak, cheese and peppers on a soft roll. Delicious.
The cheese steak was good but the service was horrible the person was rude to my son and they give barely any cheese
best cheese steak I've ever had in the bay
Good food, quick service, friendly employees. I would definitely eat here again.
We like their cheesesteak sandwich with peppers and grilled onions. Service fast and always friendly
A great sandwich of roast beef, melted cheese, grilled onions, hot and sweet peppers. I was working nearby and it was so good I ate another the next day.

I thought they were lying when the signs says best Philly outside of philly.... They aren't liars
If you want a decent cheese stake sandwich then this is the place to go. The food is reasonably priced abd delicious.
Watered down menu, raised prices, even my favorite tastes different. So sad, buying here 14 years closest to a Philly Cheesesteak, Philadelphia boy here. My Harrisburg friends send me overnight dated fresh TandyTake cakes. Theirs not even dated. Use to buy jar of marinated peppers,no more. This new owner cut every expense possible. Go buy a little creasers pizza for $5/6 bucks. Never changed their recipe. Better deal half the price. Can get the same ingredients.
Pretty decent place. Not bad quality
This is the best Cheese Steak Shop in the bay area. They always make the cheese steak correctly with the right amount of cheese and peppers. Other locations who will remain nameless short the cheese and peppers.
