Very quaint and homey coffee shop with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere worker (gentleman wore a baseball hat with glasses forgot to ask his name and the cook was also wonderful )was very kind and informative about the food and coffee selection and they made the best cold brew (Kyoto Cold drip please try it )and burger I’ve ever had it was simple but the flavors trump anything I’ve had 10/10 would come again for the food and coffee and people.

Love this cafe! They have lots of delicious drink options ( alcoholic & non alcoholic ) they also serve food! Came in for the live music and loved it ! If you enjoy being alone with some music and drinks this is the place. Patio is the cutest and there’s also a bookshelf with great books you can read !!

love this place. Small, nice outdoor back patio, great window seats (if you're early), delicious cafe-baked scones. Six stars.

Very cute coffee shop. The ambiance is homey, the furniture is very pretty, and they always have good music playing (think Bon Iver). Their coffee is pretty good! I love their hot mocha, and I've also had the iced vanilla latte which was good, but nothing incredible. Their food menu is pretty great if you need a quick and casual lunch, but you still want to eat real food. Their burgers are reasonably priced in my opinion. The staff is always friendly.

Best coffee I've had in Berkeley so far. The service is great and the environment makes for the perfect place to do some early studying. The scones are alsodelicious! :)

My absolute favorite coffee shop in the area! Their coffee always tastes so artisanal and I have yet to find a drink here that I don't love. My go-to is always a classic iced vanilla oat latte which is soo good, but I also go for a lavender latte and their signature cold brew as well. Not only are the drinks great but the food is also amazing! I love the smash burger and the wine braised beef sandwich. Not only is the food great, but this is also my favorite place to hangout and study :) The atmosphere is always nice and bubbly, and the baristas always remember my order. My only down-point is that they close at 3pm which is difficult for a long study sess, but gets me to wake up early just to come. I do wish that they had more outlets, so make sure to come with a charged laptop.

Overall, I think this is a good cafe to grab a bite or coffee, but I do not recommend coming here to work. After ordering our food, we found out there was only one singular outlet in a very inconvenient spot. After trying to join the wifi network and not being able to, we asked and apparently there were too many people on the network already. (but the cafe was barely 1/2 full with around 15 people)The ham and cheese croissant was nice and the iced latte was pretty good, but overall I could not work here. I recommend coming here with a book or a friend because the vibes are quite nice and they have a pretty patio area, but don't bring any technology if you don't charge your computer or need any wifi.

This is a quiet hidden gem in Berkeley. The Cold drip coffee is arguable one of the best in the neighborhood, and the SCD yogurt is something you should give it a try.

I recently visited Way Station Brew on a Friday morning and it was busier than I expected. This place is open seating, you order first at the counter then pick a table. There's also plenty of tables in the back.I opted for the Way Station Egger and it was really tasty, especially the bacon. Believe it or not, I don't like all bacon, but this place makes them crispy with just the right crunch. The potatoes were seasoned well and when I cut into the middle of the egg, the yolk ran perfectly. This place is known for their scones and they didn't disappoint. I had a few bites of the blueberry scone that came fresh from the oven, so warm and fluffy.Don't expect service since this is more of a self-serve place as you'll need to bus your own plates/etc when finished. This place is at the edge of downtown Berkeley so plenty of metered parking or a paid lot nearby. I suppose you can street park in the residential areas, just read the signs.#11/2023

Amongst all the cafes near campus packed with studying students and sugary drinks, Way Station Brew is a more refreshing, sophisticated option, unobtrusively tucked away in a corner of Dwight and Shattuck. I've been a casual visitor of this place. Matcha lattes are my go-to. They're not particular stellar, but as reliable as any other coffee shop. Try it with their house-made lavender syrup! Their food is a bit on the pricier side and pretty standard cafe quality as well. Their scones are apparently popular, but after trying the apple-cinnamon scone and blueberry scone, I'm not sure if I can share in the enthusiasm. The apple-cinnamon was the better of the two, but not worth the $5.While the food and drink are unquestionably average, I especially love the ambiance of Way Station Brew, with marble tables, large windows, and a neighborhood coffee shop feel. The wifi isn't the fastest and there aren't outlets, but this is a great place for light work, reading, or to do nothing but romanticize your life in a cute cafe.

THE BEST SCONES EVER!! I would honestly come here just for the scones. They do sell out though so try to come as early as you can.I've had both the blueberry and apple cinnamon. Both were buttery, flaky, and just crumbled when you ate them. So delicious.I've also had the iced matcha. You definitely need to mix it up a bit to make sure you're getting the matcha flavor as it can be a bit subtle if you don't.I love the music they play and ambiance is nice overall. I've also had good experiences w service. Just keep in mind that it does get crowded and that can cause a bit of a wait in the kitchen.
