Yali's had never failed to burn my latte beyond any semblance of coffee and make it taste inedibly charred and bitter.

Yalis has won me over for best coffee on campus. I now frequent in between classes to study or grab coffee/snacks. Workers are friendly and the coffee is great! Huge pros for not charging extra for almond milk and good atmosphere to get work done. There is a huge patio for outdoor seating as well as indoor tables.

The service is fast, the coffee is great, and the owner is so nice! always strikes up a fun conversation

I buy coffee here almost every day and the owner refused to give me a fork because it's only for those that order food. It's upsetting to know they're stingy with resources. Not coming back here.

Really rude staff, ordered a sandwich there. Noticed after that it came with Mayo and asked if they could hold the Mayo, they said no and I asked if I can buy another piece of bread because I really don't like Mayo. Had to speak to the manager about this because I guess it was suuucchhh a big deal to the staff. The manager was also super rude and bitching about me asking TO BUY another piece of bread. The manager was complaining under their breath and was like "okay well, come buy it, are you going to buy it, I don't even know what to charge you, a dollar I guess". The worst possible customer service. Terrible management. Wouldn't go here again just based on all of the staffs gross attitudes. Learn better training. Yalis needs to do better on a campus full of stressed out students trying to get some food. The food wasn't great either. Soup tasted like water and salami was worse than store bought quality. 0/10

Staff was very nice. Just very disappointed with the service provided by whom I assume was the owner. I like drinking my espresso cold, so I ask for a double shot on ice. What I received was a double shot with maybe 2 ice cubes in what I presume was a 3 oz cup filled to the absolute brim. I kindly asked for a larger cup with more ice because the drink was not even cold, and I did not want to spill the drink. The owner explains that he can't do that because he is afraid people fill it up with milk and end up with a latte for a price of 2 shots of espresso. I didn't even want all that, I just wanted a splash of half and half and a cold drink. Really disappointing to see how cheap the owner is, and I ended up with a room temperature espresso and spilled a great amount of it on my shoes because of how they filled the 3 oz cup to the top. Like if you wanted to charge me for the ice I wouldn't even be mad, but you can't promise me an iced espresso and end up giving me something that disappointing.

I like it. I had mocha, it was not too sweet or milky but not too bitter. Friendly person up front taking orders. The drink took about 5 minutes to come out. There are plenty of tables to do work at. The drink prices are standard Berkeley fare. This might be my new go to campus cafe! Edit: I just had the caramel latte. It is also quite good.

One of the more convenient coffee shops on campus. Coffee is pretty good, pretty well priced, and sandwiches are solid. I wish they had other pastry options or that the semi freddis ones were less expensive, but they work when you want a snack.

Good food, long wait at the wrong time.

A great place to stop into if you need a coffee or food between classes. The food is fairly good, although perhaps a little highly priced due to its location inside of UCB. As a result, if you go right when classes are letting out, it can have a fairly long line. Cashiers are well trained and check people out quickly. The coffee they carry is Equator coffee which is pretty dang good for the price. They have plenty of seating to work on your laptops but it goes quickly, so good luck getting a seat.

EXPENSIVE thats all I got to say. Also the white female workers never get my orders correct.

So, I hesitated to write this review but...I usually get soup for lunch here and it's a nice warm comforting choice on a rainy day. Most days is comes with a chewy piece of bread as a compliment/side. The last time I went, alas no bread at all. Time before that super tiny end of a baguette. Today, got the bowl (16oz) of potato soup. (delicious btw) Opened my to-go bag and looked at the bread. OMG - it was the tiniest wrinkled up end of the loaf of bread. Does anyone really like the end of the bread? Not really. So, if you are going to give me a minuscule piece of bread, maybe two slices would be better?
