We had such a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and romantic perfect for the occasion. The food was absolutely amazing. The lobster ravioli was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The short rib was incredibly tender and full of flavor definitely one of the best we've had. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Our server, Leu, was very nice, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. He made great recommendations, including the mousse cake for dessert and we loved it! It was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we will definitely be coming back next Valentine's Day. Highly recommend! ❤️

On the whole, Zino was good. The mushroom soup and beet salads were very good. The desserts were delicious. Main criticisms: my main dish, paella, did not taste good (seafood was a little off and the rice had too much tomato in it and not enough saffron); the steak dish had a "mushroom" that tasted bad. Service was fine.

When I looked on-line to make a reservation, it said that there would be two menus on February 14th....the regular menu and the Valentine's Day menu. However, when we sat down, we were handed the Valentine's Day menu so I asked about the regular menu and was told, "Oh, not today...." So there was a rather limited menu... We could not find an appetizer or salad that we liked...so we did not have that. My husband had the short ribs and he said they were tasty. I had the lobster ravioli and the lobster was very fresh and tender. The service was friendly and nice... And for dessert we shared the chocolate mousse which was yummy!

My mother and I went for the Valentine's day special dinner, and everything was very nice until it got to the entrees. We ordered all of the appetizers, (mushroom soup, duck confit salad, beet salad, oysters), and they were all delicious. For our mains, I ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium, and she the Paella. Both were overcooked. Other then that, it was a nice experience. Totally recommend the apps

Conveniently located in a beautiful hotel, Shattuck, the food here is good and has lots of unique flavors. There is something on the menu for everyone!

What a wonderful discovery! As many times that we go to Berkeley and as often as we've been in that neighborhood, we've never eaten at Zeno until last night. The dining room is lovely and elegant with high ceilings and a beautiful chandelier. The food was all delicious. Our server couldn't have been nicer. As we were there before a show, it was quite early in the evening, but even as the space filled, it was not a noisy environment at all. Highly recommended.

Attended Christmas Day Buffet Brunch Meal. Service & Dining Area was great, Honestly, the Brunch Buffet lacked. Variety. No Turkey or Prime Rib Roast was served. Ham &. Sirloin Roast was substituted. Typical Veggies, Salad, Creamy Spinach, and Shrimp for main Meal. The food included a very tasty Lobster Soup. All in All I would rate this Brunch a (4) out of (5)!

Great environment for business lunch. Good service, prices, and food. Pleasant and convenient. New menu is also nice, especially the rustic tomato soup and zatar flatbread.
Food and service were fine, and the onion soup was very good. The main disappointment for a festive weekend brunch was: no desserts of any kind. When we asked, the server said they don't offer desserts at brunch - not even a scoop of ice cream. Our brunch had been all savory menu items and we craved a spot of sweetness to round it off. Nope!

Thanksgiving dinners out, especially buffets, can be hard to pull off but I've definitely had better experiences at other places in the past. Unfortunately, this really did not feel like a good value and think we would have rather ordered in.
