Love seeing more and more Asian restaurants open up in the Beverly Hills area! Came here at 6 PM on a Saturday and the line was down the block. They had so many customers, they ran out of ingredients and had to go and buy some more. My dad was hoping to try the duck curry, but they didn't have any. Would have to go back at a later date. The Chicken Katsu Karé is delicious and so is The Chubby Curry. I prefer The Chubby Curry, it had more flavor, but if you don't eat beef, the Chicken Katsu Karé is a perfect option. I also tried the Wagyu Burger and it was so good, a definite must. My sister wanted the Kids Butter Udon which was pretty good as well.

Great curry, well priced. Big downside is their extremely heavy front door slams shut hard and loud. It's extremely distracting and unpleasant. The door stop is broken so if it's not slamming shut it's stuck open and with our sometimes cold nights, the place becomes a meat locker. Such an easy thing to fix. I wish they would.

I had a great time at chubby curry! The service was amazing - the waiter checked on us multiple times and asked for feedback so genuinely. I think my drink was forgotten but they came back to ask where they could do better and I found that really nice of them. The food itself was great too. I order a chicken katsu curry and my friend ordered the chubby curry. We both finished it pretty quickly. I do wish they had actually boba drinks.

Food was great. Only thing was the stools are super uncomfortable and gave me back problems while eating dinner.

Excellent Japanese curry!! I love Japanese curry and will always miss Curry House (Rip), so when I saw this restaurant being featured in an article I knew I had to grab my Curry House loving friend and try this. It didn't disappoint!!! If you want customization on the spice level they don't have that, and their base curry isn't spicy (Japanese curry is usually a bit sweet); but the flavor is great and I think it's prepared with a lot of heart and good ingredients. They also have this side spicy sauce you may add to your dish to spice it up (super spicy). We added the combo with fries (curly!) and miso soup (love it- not too salty). My chubby curry's beef curry had a lot of big beef chunks that's tender but still had the nice chew. My friend's hambagu beef patty was very nice and meaty with strong beef flavors. It's a bit on the pricy side but it is Beverly Hills. What's great is there's a public parking structure right across the street with two hours free! Oh and I have to praise the taste in music of whoever is in charge of it - all the Japanese pop songs I love I can prolly sit here all day. Please stay in business, I gotta come back! Or better yet, open one in SGV!

Fantastic neighborhood gem. Super clean inside with a Friendly attentive staff. The food is amazing with fair prices. Best curry on the Westside and the waygu burger is just delicious. Try the curly fries smothered in spices with a dipping sauce on the side.

Let's just say this, this might be some of the best curry I have had in a while since I got back from Japan. The curry's flavor is quite unique so I asked the store associate and was told they use onion to extract the flavor instead of soy sauce, the natural flavor of the curry does taste more flavorful and is seasoned just perfect. I can tell that the chicken and pork they used are obviously high grade meat, they are juicy and tender, not dry at all. The crispy shell with the sauce just made the combination much more flavorful. I also love how they combine the wagyu with different curry dishes and I was told that they have their own ranch and has multiple other restaurants in LA and Vegas that uses the same premium wagyu. That is just incredible, I mean I'm spending just 20 something dollars for wagyu? The service is amazing. All friendly and hustle free service style really gets me, water refills are pretty timely, they would also bus my table frequently just so I have more rooms. You don't get this a lot in other fast paced restaurants (yeah, they are packed during peak hours and the service is still spot on with only 2 servers, that's something worth mentioning). Last, I'm not a big fan of anime and I can only name a few of the characters they have on the shelf and wall, but I can tell that the store owner put the effort in to design the store, loved the personal touch. The restaurant is small but clean and neat, I think it's something worth mentioning, and I've been here a couple times, the hygiene and service standards have not gone down at all. Will be coming back regularly and would love to see they have more locations in the city so I faint have to drive 20+ minutes to be here (sometimes wait in line to just get a table). Overall, 5 star well deserved

Best burger in LA. Curry is out of this world. Dumplings and katsu, just wow. The sides and dipping sauces I've tried everything on the menu at this point and haven't found a single thing that didn't leave me more than satisfied. Come with an empty stomach!

Was really excited to try this place out though there was a long wait. Ended up waiting about an hour or more for the food, which wasn't worth it at all. Don't know why the wait was so long as the restaurant was halfway empty when we were being served, which was around 8:30pm. Should've taken the sign that people were leaving without having even eaten anything. We ordered a side of fries, which took way too long to come to the table. Then the entrees came and it was completely okay. Ordered the katsu curry and felt like there wasn't enough actual curry on the plate to eat with my rice and katsu. Katsu was bland and wasn't very crunchy - ended up only eating two pieces. Curry itself was extremely okay. Boyfriend ordered wagyu burger which was also mediocre and a bit greasy. They then started clearing our table before we were even done eating. A group who came before us ended up never getting their food so they left. Mediocre, overpriced food, subpar service, incredibly long wait. Would've been quicker to drive to Little Tokyo and order food there. Would rather have just eaten instant curry, which has more flavor.

I really wanted to like this place given that I love curry and this place had great reviews but it was disappointing to say the least especially for the price. The curry is way too sweet without any bold flavors. I got both the chubby curry and the kamikaze and both were underwhelming. Also ordered the wagyu burger which was kinda dry and the bottoms piece of bread was as hard as a rock. I did take it to go so maybe that's why? But I have gotten burgers to go before from other places and it has never been like this. Overall, I would not recommend and would not go back which is sad because I wanted to try the duck curry.

This place is fantastic. The food, service, and Chef were so excellent. They have a really fun interior with tons of anime statues, and they have little games you can play at the table. Really brings the neighborhood vibe back to S. Beverly Dr.

Probably the best chicken katsu I have ever had. The food was fantastic, the store is partially open to the street which is nice. The waitress at the end asked if there was anything we thought they could fix or improve to which the answer was no, it was a wonderful experience and will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.
