For a place that serves raw food that you cook yourself, it’s beyond me how it could take 25 minutes to get served. I ate alone, so it certainly wasn’t because the order (raw beef and chicken) was large. The solo diner next to me also waited over 20 minutes. It got worse. When my credit card was charged, I was charged over $30 more than my bill. The only reason I caught it was the notification on my phone, so I saw immediately that I was seriously overcharged. What a terribly run restaurant.

Horrible experience. I've been to Gyu-Kaku perhaps 50 times and this was by far the worst experience. From the minute we were sat my family and I were treated with much disrespect. Food was delayed. Several of my food items where not brought to me. Then my bill was brought to me with all items not given to me. When I mentioned why being charged for something I was not brought I was given the response it's on it's way and sure enough 2 minutes later they arrive after an hour wait. Horrible.

They have a fabulous happy hour.Takoyaki was good. The chicken wings were the ???The tofu with chili sauce on top was nice as well. The beef sushi was a bit overcooked and the rice crumbled as you grip it.All these items were $6-7 plates during happy hour. Pretty good!

Loved my experience at this location, this time and every time before. Service is always good and the experience is really fun. Mariano is exceptional, too. He always remembers us!

Not a good location, said they are reservations only and would not allow any walk ins when the restaurant was completely empty!

The short-blond haired female server at the counter greeted a white customer behind me, athough I was the next guest to be served standing in front the counter. I am an Asian man.

Came here for NYE dinner and was beyond disappointed. Reservation was at 9 pm and we were seated at 9:45. There were tables around us that were seated later and got their food much quicker than us. We were finally served food at 10:45 and the pre-cooked food was cold which means the food was just sitting there. We waited almost an hour between each order we placed before we received our food and the waitress never even told us when last call was so at the end we felt extremely unsatisfied and the food didn’t hit the spot. Place was dirty too with trash all over the floor and the grill area with food marks. Never coming back.

Got seated 45 minutes after our reservation after being told we would be seated next another group who arrived late were seated before us. Took forever to get a waiter but she was very kind about our inconvenience and gave us a small discount. I wish the reservation stated that there would be an almost hour long wait as it ruined my plans for the evening. Would not visit this location again.

Service is extremely slow and our server is not well trained, can't multitask and east to forget things. Attitude is not good neither. Won't go there again and not recommended.

The service was ridiculous. We understood the restaurant was understaffed for the night but it took an hour and a half to get our meat. Took over an hour to get our drinks. We waited half an hour to get seated with our reservation. I wanted it to be a special evening for my partner and I but it was frustrating. We missed our plans later in the night just so we could at least have food on our plate. Very disappointing.
