This is the second time we have arrived for our 7:00 p.m. reservation only to wait 30–45 minutes for a table. Last night, the manager graciously offered to cover our dessert as an apology for the delay, which we appreciated. However, when a 7:00 p.m. reservation is made weeks in advance, followed by multiple text messages requesting confirmation—which we promptly provided—it is disappointing to arrive on time and still face a lengthy wait. To make matters worse, the table we were eventually offered was poorly located, and when we requested a booth, we were told the wait would be extended by another 30 minutes. This was our experience on both occasions. While we enjoy The Grill on the Alley as an alternative to our usual weekend dinners at South Beverly Grill, experiences like these make it difficult to justify returning.
An old school experience in the best possible way. It was our first time dining here...it was a nice surprise! Our waiter, Elia was excellent. If you want service to be part of your experience, he is your man! He made our very good meal, great! Excellent food and atmosphere. We don't live in LA, but next time we visit Beverly Hills we be be sure to dine here again! Highly recommend!!
The Grilll on the Alley in Beverly Hills is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service always impeccable. We LOVE the soft shell crabs when they are available. Actually, the chefs are great with all the fish dishes. The parmesan crusted fish is also excellent. For our meat loving grandsons, they love the steaks.
Consistently good food and great service. Pamela Gonyea is the best host and Steven is a great server.
We had the garlic bread, steak sandwich, the Friday soup special, and the Brownie with ice cream.

The pacific halibut tonight was superb. As was the Caesar salad and key lime pie.

Kitchen closes at 9. No warning, no call. I was talking to friends for literally 5 minutes, I sat down at 9.02 and the kitchen was CLOSED. Excellent hospitality 🙄

Took my sister out for her birthday dinner and did not disappoint! Great food, great servers, great ambiance, and the bday dessert was amazing! Such a wonderful evening at The Grill on the Alley. You have got to go at least once! You don't know what you're missing.
My wife and I had a great time here tonight. The service was excellent and very proactive. The highlight was when the server greeted us in Korean—it was a small gesture, but it really made us feel welcome.
Food-wise, everything exceeded our expectations. It’s got that authentic, heavy-hitting flavor that shows they know what they’re doing. If you’re in LA, this spot is a no-brainer. We’ll be back for sure.

We visited for a friend's birthday and had an amazing dinner. Kat, our server, was a 10/10 and super attentive. We would highly recommend!
The Grill on the Alley is Hands down, our favorite Beverly Hills Go-To! Classic, Old school fantastic service, food, ambiance and menu. It's our first choice for taking out of town guests. Five Stars all the way. The Grill sets the standard for every other eatery. There are others... innovative chefs, beautiful design. But if you want classic BH top drawer, the Grill on the Alley never misses. II recommend the Liver and onions, The chicken pot pie, specials like the Seabass last night are outstanding. Brick Chicken, Lamb Chops, and the best Martini's!! Love this place forever and always.
Found the restaurant on Open Table and was able to get a last-minute 5:00pm reservation to celebrate the 90th birthday of my mate. We were given a booth right by the kitchen so multiple time waiters were lined up to get food for their tables. I wasn't a huge fan of that and it marred the experience to a degree. But the food and service was good.
