Closed! Moving to Bakersfield. Had a chance to chat with the owner and he was lovely. I wish him the best of luck.

When they are open its the best in Big Bear, but they are NEVER open. I wish they would post the hours they are actually open.

Was staying in a cabin next door to this little BBQ shack . As a lot have said great BBQ you don't need a big place to produce good BBQ just some knowledge and skills! I have a smoker on my porch at home and know what goes into it a lot of patience and care. I spoke briefly with Ron the owner the day before he said to come early the next day and we did!We ordered the brisket Sammie and sides of tater salad got to Big Bear Lake to devour our haul! There was a generous portion of smoked brisket ,nice smoke rings and flavor and cooked well not tough maybe mine was a bit overcooked to my liking but not enough to ruin it. I would say should be more generous with side size very small portion there leaving us wanting more. I met the owner seemed like a good dude hope his business continues to thrive I appreciate some good BBQ !

Wow, 5-star AMAZING BBQ!Honestly the best barbeque I've ever had. Be aware that they are only open an hour or two, and they start running out of their most popular items in only a half an hour after opening. My recommendation is to arrive before they open (before 11:30).Supposedly their brisket is the favorite, but we only got to try the pulled pork because we didn't get there until 12. I have difficulty imagining than anything could be better than the pulled pork we had, but I'll be very anxious to try!Do not miss this place if you like BBQ!

Tried this on a whim for lunch during an aimless travel day, and was quite pleased with the food and the overall experience. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

This place is delicious, every time we come to big bear we make sure to stop by and get some good bbq. The guys who run this little spot are very nice and easy to have a conversation with we will definitely be coming back to eat here

Well, we wanted to try this bbq place? We drove here today to this very small trailer like BBQ business with outside picnic tables. Yelp said, they would open up at 11:30. We sat there for ten minutes to find out the place never opened up? So you might want to call before you drive out here to find that they don't open up? So, we went to the very best .......... restaurant with outside seating and great food!!!! It was Oakside in the village and we had the very best ribs here. I was so happy the first place never opened up because Oakside in the Village was great and the cute outside seating area with another seating area/bar upstairs was so perfect! Thank you for not opening up today!!!

Best BBQ in town and it's not close. Try the brisket, it is fantastic. Prices are reasonable for the large portion sizes on offer.

We were spending a few days in the area celebrating a birthday and after a long kayak needed some lunch. This place was near where we were staying so we gave it a shot. We drove thru the circle and ordered at the window. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and we were thankful they honored military discount there. The pulled pork Sammies were delicious and 3/4 of us enjoyed the Mac n cheese. Portion sizes were more than fair for the price and we were surprised how quickly our food was ready during prime lunch time.

I'd take a picture of the pound of brisket we got on 4th of July. But there ain't any left. So damn tender-like cotton candy. They were very accommodating considering they were doing an event later for the fireworks show. Some of the best pepper rub on the the most soft meat I've had. If you can get ahold of them-it's worth it.

Great place! The brisket was top notch. Flavorful and tender! The sides we had: Mac and cheese & baked beans were amazing. We got to meet the owner. Nice guy. Definitely coming back and supporting this local business. Call ahead to make sure they are open.

The brisket was dry and tough. I've been here before and it was great. Looks like quality control has lost their touch. The coleslaw had almost no dressing, it was more of a dry salad.

How can we rate when you’re sold out 15 minutes after opening on Sunday? We (myself my husband and 5 year old daughter) showed up around 11:45. There were 2 Sheriff’s waiting for their order and one truck in the drive thru. After the Sheriffs got their order and the truck pulled forward we were told “ sorry sold out”. I wanted a family feast to feed us a for a few days and was so disappointed we had to find something else. There is no way to order online so how are we supposed to be able to try and support your food?! We just moved up here a week ago and this was a let down.

Although very nice people working the window, we were very disappointed that our order was not complete or correct. We ordered two 2 meat plates through the drive thru for a lakeside picnic. Of course, we didn't open our orders until we got to the picnic site, and found that the orders were not correct. The chicken & rib plate was missing the ribs. That was the biggest disappointment, considering that we paid extra for a two meat combo plate. The brisket was dry and needed the help of the bbq sauce. The sides for both orders were not correct, and the "coleslaw" was just a little cup of shredded cabbage, absolutely no dressing on it whatsoever. Just plain and dry. No attention to detail here made for a crappy lunch. Biggest advice if you want to take your chances here is CHECK YOUR ODER BEFORE PULLING AWAY!!! And don't bother with the "coleslaw" at all. Or the 2 spoonfuls of cold baked beans. We won't be back here, paying $50 for lunch where we didn't even get all the food is horrible.
