I came to this Denny’s with a big group of friends after celebrating one of their birthdays one night. I wasn’t expecting great service because we got there right before they closed. But Janet went above and beyond my expectations. She greeted us with a big smile and was more than willing to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. And we never felt rushed despite that we were the last guests in the restaurant and they were getting ready to close. Janet even brought out a special dessert for my friend’s birthday. It was just such a great end to a special day for me and my friends thanks to Janet’s amazing service.

Worst meal in a long time. I did come in with low expectations (there’s a reason I haven’t been to Denny’s in a decade).
Janet, as others have mentioned, gave a warm welcome and pointed med towards a table. A colleague took my order - so far, so good.
My Finger Lickin’ Chicken was served after 10 minutes. I never got a fork and knife, tried to get someone’s attention. I went to the front after 10 minutes to get it myself. A promised refill (I was asked when the food was dropped off) never came.
The dinner bread was burned to black on one side. Well, I pulled it apart to get the bread that wasn’t messed up. But the two large pieces of country fried chicken breast were burned to a dark brown crisp. Unhealthy and not very nice to eat. Managed to take of most of the breading and made some sort of meal out of it.
The restaurant wasn’t half full. But with only two staff working the floor you get a mess like this.
I feel bad for Janet and her coworkers that management isn’t up to the job.

Usually kind of a big fan of Denny's but this one is really understaffed. The staff that were there were doing their best to keep up, but seems kind of demoralized and overwhelmed. The food was okay, usual Denny's, it seemed a bit overpriced but it's in everything these days. Plenty of parking.

My wife and I are visiting Big Bear the day after our wedding and decided to stop by Denny’s for a little late night meal. We had a country fried steak and nachos which were both really good. However, the best part was our server Janet who has been very nice and sweet with us. ? thank you
Janet was amazing!! Our little one just got out of the hospital with a broken arm and Janet was so sweet to her. Spoiled her with endless goldfish. It’s the little things that make you remember a place and we will definitely be back.

Hey, it's a Dennys... the food is as you would expect. The service and wait staff is excellent and friendly. We've stopped here quite a few times over the years when the family is in big bear. Our favorite waitress has been working there for over 20 years and is top notch.
