My husband and I ordered and shared the Big Bear Club sandwich to share since they looked huge. It included turkey, bacon, swiss, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Instead of sourdough we went with Squaw. There was plenty of parking in the plaza and we had phoned ahead to put in our order. The employee there thought my husband was a local and asked how his work day was going... ;)Anyway, the sandwich was big enough for us to share. The bread was good and I could taste the turkey, but overall the sandwich needed a little "oomph". I'm not sure what was missing, maybe some vinegar or mustard. Maybe it would have been better if we had salt & vinegar chips on the side, but something was missing.Overall it was a good meal and they had so many other things on their menu to try.

We went up to Big Bear from Palm Springs California because we love the snow and it we saw it was going to snow, I'm originally from Oregon and get home sick in the desert and Big Bear reminds me of home a lot, and we found this restaurant close to the grocery store we were at and I'm so glad we found it. We ordered mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, fries and biscuits and gravy, the food was delicious. I will be returning.cncsbeautyandmore

Chosen for our sports car group for lunch, the food and service was more than good. If I was local I'd come here often. Fresh not greasy fast and decently priced.Food: 5/5

Large sandwiches and tasted great! Love that they offer squaw bread. We had the Lifeguard and Sub Special and were very happy with these choices. Very friendly service. A very nice local gem in the Big Bear area.

Great food great staff very helpful and informative. I would recommend this place again.

I like to support local business, but they need to take some tips from jersey mikes.

Mountain Munchies is a great spot with good breakfast and lunch. They've got everything from pancakes to salads. Their chili is really good and always hits when I crave it. Their sandwich menu is solid and has something for everyone.

My friend and I made a last-minute decision to grab lunch to-go from Mountain Munchies. The business was picking up as soon as we arrived on a Saturday, however, we didn't have to wait very long after placing our order. I also appreciated the fact that they stepped outside to personally hand us our orders. If you're wondering what type of restaurant Mountain Munchies is, it's a deli-style diner that serves quality All-American food. They serve breakfast (all day everyday), lunch, and dinner along with a variety of appetizers, soups & salads, sandwiches, burgers, dinner items, and more! They're available for dine-in or carry-out and also encourage customers to call ahead for a faster pick-up. I tried their Salmon Burger with straight fries and thought they were pretty good. The salmon wasn't dry and the burger overall had a good flavor as well as the fries. Meal portion sizes were pretty decent and definitely filling. I gotta say, Mountain Munchies hit the spot and I would definitely come back to try some of their other items on the menu!

Excellent breakfast and lunches with great portions. I go there atleast once a week and I have never been disappointed. Their Red, White, and Blue waffle is the best because the waffle is made to order...

Love mountain munchies! Found this little gem one morning when I was starving and no one would answer their phone for a pick order. I have ate there ever since they answered, took my order and the food was delicious. Everytime I come for pick up the food is fresh and they are so nice!!

We were on a weekend trip to Big Bear lake. We went on a Saturday at 6pm to this place. It was not busy. The service was great. Puzzle sheets were offered to our kids to keep them busy. We ordered Mountain Munchies Burger, Salisbury Steak, and Pot Roast Dinner. Mountain Munchies Burger exceeded my expectation. Lettice/avocado was very fresh and tasty. Definitely 5 stars.

Had the smokey bear on squaw bread, delicious! Hit the spot. It doesn't get any better than a good sandwich by the lake listening to mellow John Denver songs about flowers, sunshine, and mountains :)
