Oakside Restaurant was an amazing discovery! We had lunch there today, Saturday, April 5th, at a table for three. We are visiting from French Polynesia, and this is our first time in Big Bear. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely remember this place and hope to return soon!

Very few vegan options. They have three veggie bowls and an impossible burger. Note that the veggie bulgogi bowl is not vegan because they use egg in the meat.
The impossible burger was pretty underwhelming. Exactly what you’d expect from a grocery store, no elevation whatsoever. The fried green beans were good but no option for vegan dipping sauce.
The drinks, however, are the best in Big Bear.

I have eaten here three times now and each experience was solid. Each time I have started with the Ahi Poké and it is a great appetizer. The truffle grilled cheese is delicious and I highly recommend ending your meal with a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream.
Here's the things: it's a small moutain town doing it's best to be serve 'big city' clients. The food is great for the location and the servers definitely do their best. I like the bread pudding bites and oak doughie cookie. Overall my girlfriend loves this place so that means I do too haha. All good ?

Absolutely the best dining experience in Big Bear Lake! The ambiance was both clean and luxurious, all at a reasonable price. Our baby Novalee couldn’t get enough of the delicious food!

Fancy yet family friendly place! One of our favorites while in big bear! The food is quality and the service is good. Even when busy, the food doesn't take too long. We have been there a few times and we always average 30-40 minutes on wait time, so we usually walk around and shop until our table is ready!
Trying to eat my meal with friends across the street and could barely hear their music because Oaksides music was so loud. So unprofessional and rude. 0 out of 5 stars.
Our waiter was very attentive and drinks and food were good. However, my daughter found a piece of plastic in her ahi burger while she was chewing, the waiter immediately brought it to the manager’s attention. She came over and informed us that there was no plastic in the kitchen that looked like that, and that the tuna was prepackaged. It seemed she did not believe us. She did offer a free dessert, and when we didn’t take that, gave a discount that didn’t even equal the amount of the meal that had the plastic in it.

LOVED this restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance was OUTSTANDING! It’s exactly what I was going for when I was searching for a romantic restaurant to propose to my girlfriend, NOW fiancé.
The staff took care of me by saving a special booth in the restaurant for me for the special occasion. They took some photos and comped us each a drink to celebrate.
We ordered the loaded potato skins to start. I had the 16 oz ribeye with mac’n cheese and mashed potatoes. Fiancé had the lobster mac’n cheese and a couple bites of my steak. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!
We love a good ribeye and this by far one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. So tender and mouthwatering. I topped my ribeye with herb butter instead of the smoked Bleu cheese horseradish butter that it comes with and it was excellent.
Thank you to the manager and staff for making it such a special night for my fiancé and I. We will definitely be back again and for years to come.

A really nice experience eating. Food was delicious. Steak was on track for really amazing, but it’s not a 50$ ribeye. I think they could be Better on the prices but god knows what it cost to run a good restaurant these days.
