This place was awesome. The food was all cooked perfectly the hash browns were golden brown the pancakes had a crispy edge and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. Fluffy and crispy in all the right places. I asked for the chefs name to leave a review because credit is due to the person making the food! Well done Casto you know what your doing and me and my family enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you!

Here's the good and the bad. The first time trying this place out, I had the Monty Christo. It was not what i expected from a MC. Their MC was soft and limp with french toast as the sandwich bread. I was expecting it more like an old school Bennigan's Christo that is dipped and deep fried. The sandwich was a C-, the onion rings on the side were a B- grade. My friends had the All American burgers and they looked great.
The next day we went back and I got the All American burger. That was good size and fresh! A good size meat patty, fresh veggies to put on the burger and it was a good tasting burger. For this meal it was an A grade. The beginning service was good, but for both days, at the end of the meal, our waitress was hardly seen. We had to wait some time after the meal to see her and get asked if we wanted something else.
...and lastly.... We were first there on a Friday and the Friday special was all you can eat fish & chips for under $20. When asked about it, the waitress said they didn't have it and it was the resteraunt next door. So instead of going back and forth with the language barrier, we ordered something else. Then on our return on Saturday, the special was like a NY stip steak. We asked about that and the same waitress said yep they have it and asked us if we wanted to order it. How do you advertise a special of the day and pick and choose what you have to serve????
Anyways the burger we good! Better than what Snow Summit servers on the mountain!

The place has true mountain charm and our server was very nice and attentive.
We felt a little odd because it was on the earlier side of dinner time (4:30ish) but still when you would expect to see people in a restaurant and the place was empty. We weren't even sure if they were open?
The food tasted good and we were happy. Worth checking out when you are in Big Bear.

This is the 3rd day in a row we’ve been there for breakfast, however today was the worst service possible. We got our drinks fairly quickly. Two large parties came in after us, their orders were taken, meanwhile 30 minutes later we’re still sitting with our drinks. The waiter NEVER came by, we walked out, two other parties followed us.

It's not your trendy, loud atmosphere. It has a homey feel to it, which I loved. Super laid back and friendly atmosphere. Found this spot after all the breakfast served places in the village were over an hour for the wait time. Delicious food, the waiters were really friendly and attentive. It's definitely our go-to spot in Big Bear. Moderate prices but huge portions, which is great!

Upon leaving Big Bear headed home we stopped in and was greeted by owner, Jolinda… very sweet and welcoming. Place is beautiful… nice bar… and nice patio. Breakfast was yummy! Jolinda brought Willie (our dog) a couple of treats. We had a nice visit and a good meal and will be back!

Great place. Service was nice and great with keeping my kids hydrated. Food was great for the price i expected a larger portion. We ordere calamari, instead of tge normal rings it was spears. I liked tge change and would order the calamari spears again.
Decor was great. Bear skin on the wall made it feel like an old timey cabin. Loved it.
Price on the menu are okay but the service fee was a surprise. I thought Tip was for service. Not coming back for another surprise fee

My fiancé & I & our toddler came here for the first time & I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner. We were greeted & taken care of by the sweetest waitress- I wish I would’ve gotten her name! We got breakfast & everything was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy & loved all the decor. Will absolutely be coming back here again!!

Was in town waiting for my brother to do the spartan race so busy weekend in the town. Brought my dog so it was a perfect patio for me and her. Very nice service and the portions were HUGE! Very tasty! Look forward to coming back!

For a Saturday brunch, it was awesome. Peaceful atmosphere and great food, plus wifi was available. This place is so quiet, it might being going under, but I loved it for a chill Sat and watching shows on my laptop. Would recommend to anyone that wants a quiet weekend brunch

We had the pleasure of being served by Jolinda during our recent visit, and I can honestly say she made the entire experience exceptional. She was incredibly friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and had a warm, genuine attitude that made us feel truly welcome.
She anticipated our needs, offered great menu recommendations, and checked in at just the right times. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about her guests. Thanks to her, our meal felt more like a special occasion than just a night out. She went above and beyond!
She was right about the chef! The food is exceptional!!!!
We aren’t locals, but due to our son being on the Ski team we visit frequently and will definitely be back!
Highly recommend asking for her if you visit – she’s a true gem!
