Very inattentive staff. Be prepared to wait for a while to order and get you food. The stromboli was excellent. The atmosphere and cleanliness was perfect.

terrible service and terrible food. my parents ordered a vegan dish that was served with ranch and a non vegan bun. we added condiments and veggies to the dishes that weren’t added. they forgot our fries and the service rectifying the situation was terrible. all around an awful experience especially because it was my moms birthday trip if you’re wondering if you should go don’t.

My experience at Stella Luna today deserves to be shared — especially for families traveling with young children.

I walked in with my baby and was told to “pick any table.” So I did… and then sat there completely ignored for 30 minutes. I approached the hostess. Nothing. I approached the waitress. Nothing. I even asked the manager for help. Still nothing. No greeting, no water, no menu, no acknowledgement — just dismissal.

After 40 minutes of being patient and then politely advocating for myself, I was shocked to be told to leave because they “couldn’t serve me.” Not once did anyone apologize or take responsibility for ignoring me and my baby in a half-empty restaurant.

For a place that presents itself as warm and welcoming, the lack of basic courtesy was astonishing. If you’re a parent — or honestly, any customer expecting to be treated with basic respect — I’d strongly recommend choosing another restaurant in Big Bear Lake.

Food was ok, but service was not that great. They run out menu items fast. People kept walking out for that reason.

We waited for 30+ minutes for 2 burgers and 2 buffalo wings… they brought us veggie burgers (wrong order) and told us they were out of wings after the 30+ minute wait. Terrible experience.

There is a clown show happening at this establishment today 11/22. Not one person is doing their job correctly. Sorry to be so harsh. If the owner would like to contact me, I am happy to provide details. Avoid until they get staffing/management sorted out.

Came in for brunch and our waitress was amazing and I have to give credit where credit is DUE! I didn’t get her name but I believe she said she was the manager. She explained the gluten free options, described what a delicious Bloody Mary they have— but I ended up keeping it safe with a delicious latte with the perfect amount of sweetener. Waitresses like this hardly exist and it shows she loves what she does. Cheers to making our breakfast PERFECT on a Saturday morning.

Where to begin.. if you’re looking for a chill , relaxing spot nestled near the top of the Big Bear Village, Stella Luna is the place! Meat eaters, vegan , vegetarian, allergy sensitive! All of the above! Great music, friendly staff, owners, and the stand up, Sarah! Burst of energy, holds it down and great tender to the bar! Quality, great prices! Overall an outstanding experience! “Our food is made fresh” is NOT AN EXCUSE FOR BAD SERVICE, or plates coming out one by one over the course of an hour. Your customers aren’t stupid. I hate to break this to you, but any half decent restaurant is also making their food fresh, and they manage to bring out a table’s food all together. In March of 2025, this happened and “our food is made fresh” was the excuse. 8 months later, same thing and same excuse. When we finally did get our food, both eggs Benedict were hard boiled eggs, and (40 min later) the chorizo burrito looked like it had been sitting in the window a while, and came without the requested mods.

As someone who spent a lot of their life working in restaurants, it’s pretty clear that there’s no system or strategy in the kitchen, either for making the food come out together or for running food. Does the cook need additional training? Do you need another person in the kitchen? When food goes in the window is it placed there with the table’s ticket, indicating the order is complete or are servers just grabbing dishes at random? When servers grab food are they stabbing the table’s ticket? Perhaps the manager should be in the back expo-ing food instead of hanging out in front? I say this because you guys have potential and this is such a basic part of service that there’s really no excuse, and certainly not, “our food is made fresh”. Do better.

Came here for a brunch on Sunday and had a very unfortunate experience. The server kept saying it was her first breakfast shift which was fine ... however you should not have to wait 45 minutes for cold eggs benedict or cold pancakes.... At the bare minimum as a courtesy they should have comped something and didn't So the worst $100 brunch for 2ppl experience ever!

Delicious food! Great gluten free options which are hard to find at Big Bear sometimes. The only downside is no kids menu. Got charged $16 for a plain meat patty which was disappointing.

The main host was wearing stained clothing that was too big for him. There was no clear dress code for all workers. The cook had a beard and did not cover it. The table we were seated at was dirty. All tables around us were dirty. The food was decent but greasy. Sprite was actually seria mist. Our server was ok but he did stare a lot. The main server was new smiled a lot and gave thumbs up so I'll give him that. When coffee was delivered it spilled all over our table and the 2nd server did not clean it up. My food came out in 15 minutes, my parents meal took 24.5 minutes. Food should always be served together in a timely manor. Overalls experience wasnt good. Lastly as my family walked out I noticed that female host had either bruises or hickeys all over her neck. They were very visible and did not look professional

Unfortunately, our visit was pretty disappointing.

First, the host didn’t make a great first impression — he looked like he’d just rolled out of bed after a night out, which didn’t exactly give off a professional vibe.

Second, the tables were dirty and clearly not wiped down before being reset. There were crumbs and bits of old food left behind, and even the menus were dirty and torn.

Third, when we ordered coffee, my wife’s drink was delivered half-spilled and left dripping on the table. The server just walked away without offering to clean it up or replace it, which was surprising.

Food - average at best which means overpriced.

On the positive side, our main waiter was new but did a great job — friendly, attentive, and clearly trying his best despite the circumstances.
