Megan was quite helpful ...answered all our questions and was very pleasant. We enjoyed our evening! Good food!
Came here after a cold powder day on the mountain and I couldn't have had better service or food. Everything was incredible and the cocktails even better. Can't wait to come back. Highlights were the bee merry cocktail, the filet, and the roasted red pepper soup.
The food was great, but the servers were extremely pushy. We went on Valentine's Day and I realize they were busy that day, but we were rushed to order (she said she would give us one more minute and then she needed our order). If they explained when we checked in or if a time restriction was mentioned when booking the reservation, I wouldn't have minded. But I did not appreciate the rude way she basically told us to hurry up, after we were seated and still trying to decide.
I had the Polenta ( cornmeal) and Shrimp. It was excellent!! My husband enjoyed the Lasagna Bolognese. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. I found the calamari too dry for my taste but my husband liked the crunchiness. I love this Bistro.
Came to this place because every other place had 0 reservations on a Saturday. SO HAPPY this was the case. My bf and I were SO surprised to see how amazing everything was. The food was authentic, well priced, and DELICIOUS. David was a fantastic waiter! He was kind, funny, and attentive. Will be coming here on all my Big Bear trips in the future!!
Wonderful evening! Food was awesome! Great bottle of Riesling....Service was fantastic!
David went over and beyond!
Plus we also added dessert and it was great too!
We will definately be returning!

We came in to eat for dinner. We waited 30 plus minutes just for our appetizers to get out, and had finished the appetizers long before our dinner hit the table. The servers and bussers were all very kind, however, my friend waited about 20-30 minutes for a refill on her water glass. The food wasn’t the worst, but I do not think it is worth the price at all.

Very expensive ...took cake to go..opened the box to find the smallest piece of cake..looked like a half of a piece..total $100 for 2 people
As others have commented, yes it is a "hidden gem" in Big Bear. We were in the mood for Italian food while in town and looked this restaurant up. It got good reviews so we gave it a chance. Wow, were we surprised! The food, service and ambience was great. It was delicious food and very fresh. We can't wait to go back when in BB and highly recommend this to others.

Found metal in my soup and it was difficult to track someone down. We never received the beverages we ordered. We were the only people in the restaurant. Very disappointing.

Surprising gem in inconspicuous location. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and professional. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant is small and cozy in a european urban way.

Always a must when we are in Big Bear. We prefer over other Italian spots in the village because of the high quality of food and consistently great service. Don't snooze on Sweet Basil and be sure to make a reservation.
From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived until we left, everything was very well handled. I appreciate the team for putting together such a good experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”
