The only thing is I would prefer to have brewed ice tea. Not the instant stuff which that is what was served! You can definitely tell the difference! I would not order that again! Everything else was great. We brought 2 friends there for the first time and they loved the food so hopefully they will be back also!

What a charming and taste centric find is Sweet Basil. Located near the Bowling center, but far enough away - easy parking. Food choices were wide and each in a special preparation. Owners and servers are proud of their quality preparations & are very helpful. Highly Recommended...

I always enjoy dinner at this restaurant.

Great find in Big Bear! Everyone was awesome. Don't let the location deter you, as it is off the beaten path from the village. This place hits every mark and fantastic food!

Great dinner date when you’re on vacation. Service was professional and not rushed. Food was delicious like you would expect from a small Italian restaurant. It is a gem. We will be back!

We had a very enjoyable meal, started with grilled artichoke appetizer. Then Chicken Parmesan and Meatloaf for our entrees. Both were delicious!!! For dessert we had the special that evening, fig and strawberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. We definitely will be back as the food was very good and the service was professional and friendly.

New Owners serving great food. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Sweet Basil is our favorite restaurant in Big Bear. A little off the beaten path, this gem always pleases. Excellent service, ambiance and food. Last night there was a wonderful new special dish-steelhead trout over quinoa with a lemon butter sauce. Yummm!

I recommend getting a reservation. I also recommend and insist in the stuffed shells w/cheese, spinach, and Italian sausage. 5 stars on that alone! SO GOOD!! Great service.

Our favorite restaurant in Big Bear Lake. We can’t wait to come back!!

Downtown Big Bear was very busy, but we were able to make a last minute reservation online. The food was great and everything was well appointed.

Always delicious food served lovingly by experienced and caring wait staff who know the dishes well. The cocktails were made perfectly. Family owned and it feels like eating with the family you love and none that you do not. I have been several times and I look forward to going back again soon!

Good food, awesome servers, cute place. Little pricey but heck, you're getting tasty halibut in the mountains!

The stand outs food-wise were the blushing martini and the lemon mascarpone cake. The calamari appetizer was pretty good but the wild mushroom pasta was rather disappointing. Very al dente and not much flavor- just a huge unartfully arranged pile of pasta. My dining companion did really like his ricotta ravioli with alfredo sauce. The service was great and friendly at first and then, strangely, once the place started to empty out all the servers vanished, and it took forever after we were long finished and our mostly empty plates were sitting in front of us to finally get out of there. Maybe they were just having an off night. We’d probably give the place another shot sometime, but we were a little disappointed after reading a lot of great reviews.

I would drive from Long Beach to Big Bear just to go here! Excellent & attentive staff. From the appetizer (fried raviolis), to the antipasti salad, & my “choose your pasta”, truly delicious!! And then to cap it off, the best tiramisu I’ve had in years! Wonderful restaurant!
