Stayed in the yurt at this one of a kind place. My girls had so much fun sleeping on the second floor or you could say large pedestal. You could enjoy the beautiful starry night from the bed through the clear skylight. Fun but was a bit chilly even with the heater on. But it is a a yurt so if you don't like it chilly stay in one of the adorable cottages. The staff there were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The cafe across the way has great coffee and delicious bites. Try their bagel sandwiches!! There's a River that runs along the cafe so it is nice to sit out while enjoying their refreshments. would love to come back during the summer! Thank you strawhouse!!

Stayed at Del Loma and came here for lunch one day. I heard they used to have pizza which was to die for, but I knew I couldn't have it since I recently became gluten-free. I was surprised to find gluten-free options on the menu! I had the most delicious veggie quiche. The area is beautiful. Will definitely go back if in the area again.

Giving it a 3 because it's a beautiful property. But sadly the service was without a smile or how do you do? The gentleman couldn't have been more glum. I ordered a Hummus sandwich. It was less than spectacular. I pictured it on this post. Prices seemed high but I'm not sure they'd be better in this area. Bathroom was clean (outside). Server to the table was sweet & fun. Beautiful day, so not all was lost.

We stopped in the Cafe for breakfast and enjoyed delicious bagels. The Trinity bagel was amazing. We will make it a point to stop here again. Friendly and efficient service, great vibe, wonderful views of the river from the outdoor patio. Also a great place to purchase unique gifts, artwork and jewelry.

I don’t see how anyone could give less than a 5 star review. By far this is the nicest place on the trinity river. The owners Don and Julia do a beautiful job, it’s a top notch establishment.I’m a local fishing guide and would highly recommend you to experience the strawhouse resort.Nearby activities: Great location to enjoy, fishing, rafting, awesome wood fire pizza on a beautiful patio, etc

Great place. Right on the Trinity river. Stove and microwave and outdoor Charcoal BBQ. No oven. Clean. Easy check-in. Pleasant and helpful hosts. Great cafe for breakfast and lunch and snacks with top notch coffee . Internet good for email only, not for streaming. Kitchen has pots and and glassware and pans and bottle opener and salt and pepper but nothing else like oil nor spices nor foil. Super relaxing. Nice deck. Wonderful bed. We have been there annually for 6-7 years and will continue to return.

Great food and coffee! I have been here previously with my family but stopped here this morning for coffee and breakfast. They have a small patio where you can bring your dog which is a plus. You can't beat a nice meal on the river. Highly recommend the Trinity Bagel.

I'll give it 4 star's just because I only went to have lunch.. but I can't wait to come back and stay at their resort! I came for my bday and it was such a relaxing lunch. The service was great very welcoming. The sandwiches where really good. Very homemade sandwich style. Love all the options of drinks. From sodas , sparkling water, beers, wine and some local wines! I love all the nature this place has to offer it's so beautiful!

Such a magical place to spend time. It is a perfect location. Don and Julia are fantastic hosts and have really poured their heart and soul into making their place so beautiful and welcoming. Excellent cafe with great cappuccino, latte, smoothie, range of good quality sandwiches, salads, and more. Tasty pastries, great views of river with seating areas. Store with art, books, variety of beverages, including beer and wine. Mist system is wonderful on hot days. Lovely resort. Excellent place to stay overnight at the cottages. Wonderful and worth a visit. Excellent wood fire pizzas, great flavor and fresh basil!
