I don’t see how anyone could give less than a 5 star review. By far this is the nicest place on the trinity river. The owners Don and Julia do a beautiful job, it’s a top notch establishment.I’m a local fishing guide and would highly recommend you to experience the strawhouse resort.Nearby activities: Great location to enjoy, fishing, rafting, awesome wood fire pizza on a beautiful patio, etc
Great place. Right on the Trinity river. Stove and microwave and outdoor Charcoal BBQ. No oven. Clean. Easy check-in. Pleasant and helpful hosts. Great cafe for breakfast and lunch and snacks with top notch coffee . Internet good for email only, not for streaming. Kitchen has pots and and glassware and pans and bottle opener and salt and pepper but nothing else like oil nor spices nor foil. Super relaxing. Nice deck. Wonderful bed. We stopped in the Cafe for breakfast and enjoyed delicious bagels. The Trinity bagel was amazing. We will make it a point to stop here again. Friendly and efficient service, great vibe, wonderful views of the river from the outdoor patio. Also a great place to purchase unique gifts, artwork and jewelry.
