Don and Julia were fantastic hosts for our wedding anniversary and family reunion, because of their warm hospitality and exceptional service. My husband and I got married at Stawhouse 10 years ago and nothing has changed! The food and accommodations are still amazing. The river is serene and the coffee is delicious! The icing to our vacation was having our daughters with us. They loved strawhouse as much as we do. We hope to come back soon! It’s truly a one of kind place.

We have stayed for a week at the Straw House cabins on the river for the last 6 years. It is a great location. Cabins are clean and cozy with an excellent view of the river and grounds. The patio at the restaurant is perfect, because it allows great a wonderful view of the river and is peaceful and relaxing. The food and service is very good and the people are wonderful.

Our family reserved 5 cottages / rooms at the Strawhouse Resort and Café for a celebration of life party. The location on the Trinity River was absolutely gorgeous (see photos). The cabins were nice, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and professional. It was wonderful.
