Passing through the area on the way home from Lake Tahoe; and for a food truck, this is by far one of the of the best. The food is flavorful and locally sourced. You can taste the quality. I wanted to try something new and so glad we stopped off. My husband was very skeptical but after the meal, said he was impressed. The BBQ and ketchup are homemade, very flavorful and unique flavor. A seating area is provided which is a +.

Small little food trailer. Delicious waffles and breakfast sandwich. The bread is so yummy. Avocado toast was super fresh and hit the spot. Definitely would recommend chuckwagon, instead of a fast food place! 👌

Keith makes the best sourdough waffles I've ever had! You have to stop at the Chuckwagon.

This food truck has a ton of potential. I stopped here on my way up 395 and was intrigued by the sourdough waffles. I showed up but alas there were no waffles available that day -- half of the menu wasn't available. The nice gentlemen behind the counter let me know that he was riding solo and wasn't able to prep much. No big deal. I got the grilled cheese and fries -- they were phenomenal. The cilantro dip on offer is good too and I highly recommend asking for it. It's a bit watery though (I'd mix it with a base like yogurt @owner).

While my experience was a bit of a bummer due to lack of options, I wouldn't hesitate to try it again. The small sample of what I had was so good that I can only imagine how good everything else is on the menu. I will revisit and re-rate.

I picked up a Chili Verde Burito 10/10 would eat again. My girlfriend got the blueberry pecan salad. She said the only thing she didn't like was that it was too big, "an American portion". Funny how she ate the whole thing 😹.

Tasty food using local ingredients! The sourdough waffle is excellent -- especially since it's hard to find a good waffle along the 395. The chef is friendly and helpful at the window. Looking forward to going back to try a burger soon!

The great outdoor service nestled unexpectedly in the high Sierras offers some magical secret Chef food ("Chef Keith" I think...) that will blow your mind! Try the breakfast sandwich AND / or the sourdough waffle in the morning and chase it down with the chicken wings at lunch! (Grab a "395" beverage from Mammoth at High Country Market to compliment any meal.)
