Food was excellent. Stand outs were tri tip, Mac and cheese, potato salad. Didn’t try ribs or pulled pork. An absolute must stop en route to Mammoth or returning home. If you are a local, God has blessed you with the nations best bbq (after GQ BBQ in Denver!)
It was our first time trying Copper Top BBQ! A few people recommended it on our way to June/Mammoth Mountain. We shared the single serving of the plater meal, which was a perfect small meal for 2 people - we chose the mac and cheese as our side...and I tried the potato salad as well.The ribs were great, nice smokey flavor and had a little sweetness to it, which paired well with the Spicy BBQ Sauce. On our way to Mammoth we drove past Copper Top BBQ's multiple smoking grills and decided that's where we are eating on the way home! As we got out of our car we were immediately welcomed by the Grill Master. He was tending to the smoking grills we had noticed in the morning. As we read the menu I noticed a sign stating the hours of operation with a side note with an arrow pointing to the right stating they have a 24hr BBQ vending machine . That is Amazing!
