You pay for the views here, not the food. We made a 6:30 reservation to watch the sunset and we're seated at a beautiful table right by the windows. We watched the sunset go down and could see whales surfacing in the background. Absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with both our food and our service. We got the brussel sprouts for an app and they were bland and soggy (not crispy if you are looking for that), and my halibut had absolutely no taste to it at all. My husband got the short rib and that definitely had more flavor, but we were caught off guard when our server not once asked how our food was. I'm not one to complain about food, so I wasn't planning on saying anything, but it's awkward when the food is not good and they ask you and you have to sit and smile and say everything is fine. Well, I guess we avoided the awkwardness because he never asked once! Maybe he knows the food is awful so we was trying to spare himself embarrassment, idk. Am I glad I went? Yes, for the views alone. Such an amazing experience. Would I go back? Definitely not. Perhaps if you enjoy good food try out the burger? I feel like you can't mess that up.

My lamb had way too much fat on it and it lacked flavor. The potatoes that came with my meal had no flavor also and I had to add salt and pepper to it. I have never done that to an upscale restaurant like this before. The portion of the cioppino was beyond small. The beer that my husband got was so gross tasted like it's been in the tank for way too long.

Our party of five was there for Sunday brunch. We caught a clear period during a stormy weekend so the view was spectacular. The group enjoyed several of the Benedict choices and an omelette. Good marks all around. The service could have been better - one waiter had trouble understanding and the main waitress could have been a little more attentive.

Literally had a great experience for my birthday! Came for brunch with my mother and it was amazing. Service was great, food was awesome! Will definitely make this a normal make thing every special occasion ❤️

The service was amazing Rosemary you're wonderful. The potatoes are gratin and their Caesar salad and their lamb was absolutely delicious. The only thing I would probably give it 4 1/2 stars because the place has the most unbelievable view. However, once the sun goes down, you can't see anything else like staring out to black space but it's lovely, and if you get there before the sun goes down, you will have an amazing experience

Very cold restaurant. Where layers. Be aware their menu is very limited. Only a handful of choices for entrees and out of the four available they were “sold ou (by 715pm) of two main dishes! Our guests had a steak or vegetarian options. I don't recommend this restaurant for dinner. You don't see the view and it's just like any other average hotel restaurant (with limited dining options).

Ordered a cup of clam chowder as a starter and it came in a cup that was about 1/3 filled. Smallest portion of soup I have ever seen. A group of golfers had been over served at the bar behind us were way over served, loud, and cursing. They were finally asked to leave. The menu has been reduced to very few entrees. It use to be one of our favorite restaurants, very sad to see.

Very nice experience. The view here is unbeatable. We had breakfast and I decided to go with the crab Benedict instead of the regular mushroom Benedict which was $9 more but I really wanted the crab. I was disappointed that there was only a tiny amount of crab on it. I didn't even taste it. Other than that the food was still really delicious and our host & server were wonderful. There was a lady on her phone at the table next to us video chatting and was talking loud. But that's not the restaurants fault at all. Would definitely come back here again.

This place has one of the most beautiful views and the waitstaff are lovely, so kind and attentive, but it's really dated has no vibe and the foods is basic hotel food. Needs an update badly!

The view is exactly as advertised...it's truly magnificent! Unfortunately, that is the very best part of the dining experience. The food was extremely average, and the service was horrible! In fact, our server was so absent that I was forced to go to the bar for my second drink. Been there, done that :(

Expensive (but you are paying for the location) and the biggest problem is that the menu never changes. There was a table with uncontrable kids nearby (including one watching a video full blast on his iPhone) while parents did not seem concerned by such inconsiderate manners. Waitress was nice, but kept forgetting we asked for bread. We are somewhat regulars. Is it worth keeping going back? I am starting to wonder...

We are locals who enjoy bringing friends to this restaurant..very disappointed. They lost our order for main course. We watched two others tables served (they came in after us) . My salmon needed salt..I Never put salt on my food. What a very expensive disappointment.

There isn't a better view around, perched as it is high above the roiling waters of the Pacific along the rocky coastline. Just breathtaking. I think the restaurant needs a serious renovation. It just looks a bit tired and dated. And the service and food was serviceable but doesn't quite keep pace with the level you might expect from the view! Maybe it is a different dinner experience (I was there for lunch only). Good, just not great. I may also be heartening back to its glory days 25 years ago when it was one of the nation's top restaurants. The lunch experience was more average but still good. And I would definitely go back.
