Amazing restaurant with a spectacular view! I mean it was breath taking! If it's your first time dining at Sierra Mar I recommend asking for an ocean view seating by the glass windows. They also have open balcony seats where you can get go outside to experience the beautiful ocean view and fresh air. For lunch we had the prefix menu. It's a farm to kitchen theme. The food was fresh and organic, packed with bursting flavors. Spending our anniversary here was so special. I can't get over how stunning the views were and how zen the ambience is. Truly a special property and a place to enjoy with your loved ones.

Good vibe and service, but the food was mediocre and way overpriced. We also noticed that a neighboring table seated later than us was served less food - two scallops each instead of three. Did they run out of scallops? Who knows. I might go back for the view, but not for the food.

Terrible, over priced rubbish!!! Possibly the worst “fine dining” experience of my entire life?! The rooms on-site cost between $2k-5k a night. How about an intelligent trickle down and hire a real chef who CARES? Every single dish was bland and mediocre. Staff were great, sunset was great…..FOOD WAS LITERALLY A LAUGHABLE WASTE OF TIME, ENERGY AND MONEY. Go to Deetjen’s instead.

This place is overrated. Two stars are given for the nice view, but the food is average and overly priced. $160 per person after tax! I would recommend Nepenthe, 10x better view and much cheaper and more fresh and better food! We saw whales in Nepenthe too from the back patio.

The food was mediocre and bland, but the views almost made it worth it. The entree portion of the 3 course meal was snack-sized and not what I expected for the price.

Had lunch here and everything was really good. View is breathtaking. Restaurant is nice. Staff was welcoming. Good experience.

The view is pretty however the food and service is mediocre. Overly priced place, not recommended. I would recommend the nearby restaurant Nepenthe , better view better food and reasonably priced and friendly service.

For the price, not close to worth it for dinner. Everything was under-seasoned and underwhelming. The The setup under the two entrees (fish and lamb) were exactly the same, down to the curry sauce, which seems lazy and inappropriate, given the wildly disparate flavor profiles. The amuse bouche was a "ceviche" but came as one two inch or so length of squid on what seemed like a Tostitos tortilla chip. The soup was fine, I've made better cream of potato at home. The risotto course was delicious. The service and the sommelier in particular were especially wonderful as well as the ambience but the value for the food and the flavor in it was absolutely not worth the $145 a seat.

Majestic experience, I felt transported into a shared but intimately private experience. The gentle decor and soft spotlight created a welcoming environment for conversation. The food was top notch but seasoning was not always to my preference. Nonetheless, I plan to return and recommend it to anyone considering visiting!

Outstanding decor and setting. Great experience at the (very small) bar (only 6 seats). Food was excellent except for entrees (hence the rating): I didn't like that my only 3 choices on a pre-fixe menu were meat, salmon and celery root - no white fish, no poultry, no pasta. On top of that, the celery root was mushy and my wife's salmon was just OK. But everything else from start to finish was superb; just disappointing mains, especially at these prices. Again, hence not a 5-star rating this time.

An unbelievable experience, with equally unbelievable food. While pricey it provided a beautiful atmosphere, and the chef catered to allergies - even with their "fixed" menu. This was above and beyond, and the food was equally so. Even just the view alone is almost worth it (but the food seals the deal).Vegetarian options: Chefs seem willing to accommodate any dietDietary restrictions: Anything, just ask

From the moment of pulling into the property, everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Each server was superb in their knowledge and gracefulness, plus the drinks, dishes and view were spectacular!

A spectacular view from this restaurant is the highlight. We were disappointed in the prix fixe lunch. Appetizer sounded interesting, but was disappointing. Lots of stong flavors. The salad was good. The mains were undercooked and we had to send back three times to get it right. Very disappointing. They adjusted our bill to reflect their failed efforts. Perhaps dinner is a better experience.
