It was truly an unforgettable night - the breathtaking view, the delectable food, and the impeccable service all came together in perfect harmony.

Fantastic dinner with a romantic landscape. Would definitely come back and 100% recommend to couples!

Lunch salads with protein were fresh. Too much oil on salad and very modest size. I was still hungry. Perhaps just not for me.

The service was very friendly, informative, just excellent. The meal (filet mignon with mushrooms) was amazing. Great dinning room. It was foggy outside and the whole experience felt magical.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience last night at Sur Restaurant. The view was spectacular and the food was good. I had a NY Strip that was a little tough but did not send it back. Brought a bottle of wine to go with it and our server put it in a decanter. Juan Manuel was the name of the server and did an outstanding job 👏!!! Mina (?) was one of the managers there and was a wonderful hostess!

Wonderful lunch on the outdoor patio. The menu is fun and the quality of the food has improved over the last year. Highly recommended to expedite Big Sur at its best!

Had a wonderful time, food was great, but it was our server Juan that really sold the experience. Will happily come back.

The view is fantastic but the vibe was sterile. T We walked in to not one person in the inside of restaurant. No one to greet us or direct us. It was a huge empty cavernous room. Not one person. Making our way to the veranda with no help from anyone we then walked out to a huge terrace and again weirdly empty with a hostess standing all alone in this huge space. We sat awkwardly at a firepit while they got our table prepared. Once seated a bus person brought over two food menus, and poured water. No drink menu. We sat for over 9 minutes before our waiter came to greet us. For a 5 star resort - I had to ask for a drink menu. Then.. left the giant book of a menu on our small table. The food was good but not exceptional. Never asked if I wanted a second glass of wine. Our waiter was a sweet fellow but super overly animated. Like he was performing . No attention to detail as I expected from a world class hotel restaurant. We have had incredible experiences at Ventana over the years- from the Spa at the resort to Glamping and the Sur House was a disappointment.

We visited Sur House last night to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. On the positive side, the restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance is wonderful. The appetizers were enjoyable and the dessert was excellent. However, the service and main courses left us deeply unsatisfied. It felt like the restaurant was understaffed - our server didn't appear until midway through the meal, and it was actually the manager who eventually came to take our order. All four of our appetizers were served at once, despite our request to have them staggered. When our main courses finally arrived, they were cold, and the fish dish was so overcooked it was inedible. We didn't eat it, and no one checked in on us until 15 minutes after we had finished. For a special occasion like our anniversary, this was not the level of service or quality we expected. While the ambiance and desserts were memorable, the overall experience did not justify the price or the reputation of the restaurant. Last night's visit was a real disappointment for what should have been a special celebration. I send a private message to the restaurant prior to this review which I did not get any response back.

The views and service at Sur House are unmatched. The hospitality upon entering the restaurant was professional and kind. The food was fresh and the drinks were great. If you are visiting Big Sur or local to the area this is a great restaurant to visit.

Ambience was very pretty. Food was good. Love the sunset view and the s'mores after dinner!

Great food, great service, gorgeous views. We didn't stay at the resort but came for a sunset dinner and it did not disappoint

Our experience here was extraordinary! We have dined at several Michelin starred restaurants and Solstice is well on their way to matching those experiences! The food was creative, thoughtful and just damn yummy! The wine selection is extraordinary and encompasses selections from many of the finest areas around the world. Spain, Italy, France, as well as the finest home grown picks available. Our servers were knowledgeable, courteous, and just downright fun. With only two seasons under their belts, I suspect Solstice will be a very sought after foodie destination.

Upon arrival the grounds looked attractive, upon entry into the empty tired messy restuarant we were brought to our table next to the bus station, we requested a different table. I ordered a $26 frittata that came with nothing so I ordered sides of potatoes, chicken sausage and fruit. Our order was delivered without my potatoes nor my sausage. Our unconcerned woman server never came back to check on our meal, to offer more coffee or to just check in. Consequently my meal was incomplete and upon getting up to find my server to inquire I was reassured my whole order would eventually arrive which the sausage did for desert. I never saw nor heard again about the potatoes. I once again hunted down my uninterested server for my $100 breakfast bill. Horrible restuarant and horrible service in a woodsy Holiday Inn that charges $3000 a night. Good luck you'll never see us again
