We celebrated my birthday dinner at Sur House at Alila and it was an amazing experience. The food was incredible, especially the pork chop — perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
What truly made the night special was our server, Juan. He was warm, attentive, and made the entire dinner feel extra special and memorable. His service really elevated the whole experience.

My favorite place to visit in Big Sur. The outside deck is outstanding. It offers outstanding views and not nearly as crowded as the more famous nepenthe restaurant located nearby. The food is exceptional, service is top notch and the atmosphere combining both the outside deck and inside bar area is exceptional. I always stop by for lunch/brunch whenever I am in the area and I've never been disappointed. They also have a full bar on the inside and a good selection of cocktails when outside on the deck.

We ate here over our two night stay at Alila Ventana Big Sur. Every meal was very good with unique combinations of delicious food. The view was a bit disappointing as it rained the whole time so we didn't really get to see much other than gray clouds. Our big complaint was that even though the meals and gratuity are included with the stay, they try pressuring you into a bigger tip by leaving a bill for $0 at the end.

Sur House is gorgeous. It was easy to get reservations. The views are A+++. There are fire pits outside but if it’s cold, it’s cold. There’s a nice bar and fireplace inside. The servers are helpful and attentive. The menu has a nice spread of options but it’s all pretty Big Sur expensive. The food was good, not amazing.

We came here right after getting engaged. They treated us so amazing, gave us some champagne to celebrate and a perfect table inside with a view of their outside area and ocean. This is our second time here. The food and drinks are amazing and the service is incredible. Couldn't have asked for a better dinner experience.

The ambience is beautiful as it is located above the Pacific with great views from the outside patio. The service was slow and not responsive. The food was mediocre. The price of food and beverages is, maybe, worth the view, but certainly not base on the food quality or service.
Wow, Sur House has really stepped up their game compared to our last visit. Quiet luxury, excellent food, beautiful outdoor dining. Just go.

Food overall was very good, especially brunch was very yummy. I just didn’t give it 5 stars because the fish for dinner was a bit dry and the filet mignon for dinner was burned on the outside, ordered it to be cooked Medium.

Overall the food was good. We had the beet salad appetizer along with the kale salad and lamb ragu for dinner. The kale salad was something we could have gone without but the pasta was amazing. Cocktails were good as well! Service was quick and kind.
