Great baked goods. Especially appreciate their vast selection of breads, all baked fresh and high quality. Cookies, pastries and other treats all tempting and tasty. They also make really good sandwiches.

This was a very busy stop on the way to Mammoth, and we had heard a lot about it. Overall it was an interesting place, though I'm not sure we would return based on the food alone. The food didn't taste particularly fresh, and was very, very sweet.
It was a huge establishment, with tons of people and a massive selection of items – it felt closer to a large grocery store than a bakery.
Not a bad experience, but overall didn't quite do it for us.

Get the bread
Whenever we are passing through (and admittedly sometimes just because) we buy 7-9 loaves of their delicious bread for the freezer. This place is exceptionally busy most of the year, however, and this may be the only downside. Try the sandwiches for lunch, they are my new/old favorite before a hike indulgence.

This is by far the greatest bakery I have ever been to. This is my second time going and it is a pleasure every time I get the opportunity to stop. In a great little town with beautiful views Erick Schat’s Bakkerÿ truly is the gem. The vibes are immaculate and the building is beautiful. The baked goods are consistently fresh and perfectly prepared. There are so many options, a person could get lost exploring all the different aisles and their creative loafs.
If you’re looking for a pastry, I can’t recommend highly enough the cheese puff and the California danish. However, you really can’t go wrong with anything you choose. This bakery is worth traveling for.

I love the honey they sell there and the pastries are amazing! The sandwiches close at 3:30pm. We were disappointed when we got there. Not there fault but wanted to mention the closing time.

Know before you go that it’s busy bc it’s so good! We always stop after Mammoth to take a Pecan Pullapart home.

I was just passing by this cafe on my way back from Mammoth, and since it was super crowded, I had to check it out. Honestly, the line was totally worth it. It’s a bit pricey, but the food and desserts were amazing
