“We had a small reception for my daughter & son-in-law after their wedding. For our group, we chose the outdoor patio; we were not disappointed. From the time I began working with Horacio to the end of the evening, he was nothing but gracious. He answered every question no matter how small it might seem. Typically at these types of events there is a hiccup or two, not with Horacio and his team. Everything went off without a hitch. From making accommodations for a couple of guests to the thoughtfulness of making sure the bride and groom were well taken care of. Everyone thought the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. If you are looking for a place to hold your event, look at Whiskey Creek. I would like to give a huge thank you to Horacio and his team. You all were phenomenal, I can’t tell you how impressed I was with everything.”

“Maggie gave us the best experience at this Carl’s Jr. she was very welcoming and friendly. She also wanted to make sure our iced coffee tasted perfect and customized the sweetness to our liking. Plus we got free cookies! 🍪 this is true customer service. Next time we pass through Bishop we will choose this Carl’s Jr over other fast food places in the area. The restaurant was very clean too. It was one of the best Carl’s Jr I’ve been to.”

I must have looked dead - because I was asked how they could heal me with Caffeine. Love this - Even got a great Hot tub Recommendation for Mammoth. BONZA!”

“I can't say enough good things about Miller & Sons BBQ. The food is fantastic, plentiful and they were so easy to work with. We held a big event at the Rock Creek Lake Group Campsite and opted to have it catered, instead of having everyone make their own camp meals. We were able to pick up the food right across the street at Rock Creek Resort. I got SO many compliments on the food. Pretty much everyone went back to seconds. We did the brisket, rips, chicken, mac & cheese and beans and it was all delicious. I'd recommend it all. And their homemade BBQ sauce! To die for. Be sure to stop by for breakfast or lunch when you're adventuring at Rock Creek or order their catering for family get togethers and bigger events.”

“The cardinal burger was one of the top 3 burgers we have ever had in our life. The grilled cheese was huge and the fries were crunchy and you can tell they change the frying oil cuz they didn’t have that burnt oil taste. They also have a house made ranch that was to die for. I also saw in the menu milkshakes and they had multiple home made pies available. It’s connected to a gift shop so we you can buy souvenirs while you wait for the food, they also had wine, food, jewelry and the cutest zipper charms. The staff was so welcoming! From the beautiful girl at the cafe to the sweet girl at the gift shop. We didn’t know this place existed, we’re randomly sent here by another business while we were searching for food and so thankful to find them. We wanna stay at the resort next ! Lovely place.”

“Had their AYCE sushi and it was great. Very reasonable pricing, amazing service from the wait staff, reasonable wait times. I hope the AYCE selection increases a bit, but I also understand their location and size may hamper that. Overall was very happy with this place all things considered.

Had the Ohno roll and Destroyah roll and very happy with both. Takoyaki, gyoza and chicken karaage was pretty good well. On the ramen I would skip the spicy chili, it's a little too much burn and not enough flavor. The marinated eggs were amazing, and noodles and broth were pretty good too.”

“I have been waiting until this El Pollo Loco had the posole. Tonight they did! This location serves some of the best food ever! I also got the tamale bowl! Super legit! “In my travels across America finding small town BBQ is something I enjoy. The regional styles are always interesting. Do yourself a great favor, ignore the whiny picky folks that always seem to look for reasons to review with unkind thoughts. This place rocks! Excellent BBQ with delicious sides and great service. It’s a 300 mile round trip for me, one that I will do many times over.”

“First time going over a year ago and it was delicious. I was really excited to find a new pizza place. The 2nd time was the worst food I'd had in a long time. We didnt go again for at least another year and this time was so good. Exactly what I was looking for and the salad bar was a true gem. Nobody else has a salad bar and all the ingredients were fresh. Very glad we went and tried again.”

“Best restaurant in a regional airport. I want to know why an authentic Thai restaurant is in Bishop and specifically next to the terminal. What is the history? Would listen to an entire podcast episode of Thai Thai.

Slow service on my visit, understandable due to all the literally filthy climbers, myself included. (Was at the Buttermilk boulders earlier). If you have a large group please call in ahead of time so you do not cause undue distress to the employees and the other people who are waiting around in more manageable party sizes.

I also appreciated as a former Thailand resident, the absence of chopsticks and a silent video explaining how to use fork and spoon in an authentic Thai manner. There were also condiment caddies at each table, which is a rarity.

10/10 for lonely plane spotters.

10/10 for climbers.
