“The food is quite an amazing thing - very well flavored and authentic. The orange peel chicken was crispy and not too sweet. The staff were amazing and told us about the interesting history of the building. Owned and operated by the cutest couple. I would make a special trip to come back here, 10/10 recommend.”

“Great variety of tacos. All are spectacular. They’re hot sauce options are great clean food. Definitely a go to Quikstop meal as you head in and out towards either Mammothor Los Angeles.”

“We were told to come here by some locals because they said it was the best place to get tacos and they were right. The owner herself took our order and prepared our food so this is a great small business. We had shrimp, steak, and chicken tacos and they were all excellent. The ingredients were fresh and the salsa was Smokey and spicy. We are climbers and love tacos and these are for sure up there on the list of great eats during our travels. For sure worth the stop.Vegetarian options: Like all Mexican restaurants, you can easily make a veggie or vegan meal out of their selections.Parking: There is plenty of free street parking on the main road and side road near the food truck.”

“This is a very basic taco truck that takes cash only, no seating, only carry out. But the tacos are amazing. I had four tacos, one chicken, two pork, and one beef. These tacos were my last hot meal before a backpacking trip in October of 2022. The food was so good that I though the bears would be smelling it on me and come around the camp site later that night.”

“We are in Lone Pine to hike Mt. Whitney, and stopped in to Jake’s for a few beverages. We had a great time chatting with the bartenders and one of the locals!! We plan on stopping by again after our hike!!”

“Clean, fast service, but not particularly friendly waitress. We all 3 ordered something with poached eggs and they were all hard-boiled, so that definitely took away from the quality.”

“Whenever we head to Mammoth, we make a mandatory pit stop at this store to grab a few subs to enjoy during our trip. Despite the usual weekend frenzy, the team of 2-3 at Lone Pine manages to handle the crowds as efficiently as possible. Most JM's have 5+ working, but I completely understand, it's a small town. Their hard work in this small town is evident in the delicious sandwiches they serve up. So, to those who may find themselves frustrated by the lines, remember to appreciate the hardworking staff. Big shoutout to Lone Pine Jersey Mike's for working hard and tasty subs.”

“The food is amazing - the enchilada sauce is fantastic and the beans are top notch. Who would have thought that world class refried beans (the best we have ever had) could be found at a small restaurant in Lone Pine? Great ambience and super friendly wait staff. Perfect meal after hiking all day in Death Valley.”

“After a long night of working, day of going to the dog park, or just a drive through this small and quaint town, Carl's Jr doesn't disappoint with their fresh, made-to-order food. Their rewards app is a God send because of the points that I am able to build up and get a free treat or burger on a whim. The attendants are amazing, friendly, and takes their job seriously by listening and getting your order right...usually the first time for me, esp with my multiple food allergies.Sometimes, I find a little surprise of a cookie that makes my lonely days feel a little brighter. They make me feel like family, and I hope my interactions have shown them my appreciation of what they do.I recommend stopping while finding your way to this little, hole in the wall town of Lone Pine.Dietary restrictions: They are very conscientious of what the customer orders and focus on what is asked of them to not add.Parking: There are plenty of parking spots for regular-sized vehicles with street parking to the side and across in front of the park which is a beautiful place to enjoy your order and scenery. Truckers can find graveled parking to the other side but with a limited parking time.They also have a Shell gas station as an additional area to park, pump, and pickup food!!!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp at the front of the restaurant with wide enough space to move around the seating and ordering areas including a handicapped stall in the bathrooms.”

“The Pizza was fantastic, really good. But the restaurant itself was extremly noisy, the Metal chairs moving over the stone floor were awful! The cuttlery had residue from the dishwasher (I hope). Next time I would rather have the Pizza to go and eat at the motel.”

“Great food and hard working staff! Last Monday when the power was out they stayed open and fed as many as they could until fading light and a build up of smoke in the kitchen caused them to close. In those conditions we enjoyed the chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes along with a nice green salad and the draft beer was nice and cold. The staff was patient, friendly, and working like crazy.”
