We stopped at this food truck to get tacos for dinner when in Lone Pine and we were pleasantly surprised. You can get your food to go or there a couple tables in front of the truck where you can sit and enjoy it. They were out of the shrimp tacos. We got three tacos each couple asada, couple adovada, one carnitas and one chicken and all of them were delicious and filled us up. Castro's Taco Stand is a small business with a great reputation among locals. The owner takes orders and prepares food, ensuring a personal touch. Tacos are a highlight, with shrimp, steak, and chicken options all receiving high praise for their freshness and flavors. The tacos de asada and adobada are especially flavorful, tasting grilled and not just cooked over a griddle. Salsa is smoky, spicy, and really good, elevating the tacos to a different level. The cabeza is awesome and the nachos are loaded heavy with everything including fresh slice avocado. It is a must stop spot to grab quick, inexpensive, and tasty authentic Mexican food like the best Tacos, Mulitas & tortas. The service is great and the owners are very nice. Prices are reasonable and parking is free and convenient.
