“Hi - I travelled all over California, from Australia. Black Velvet Coffee made us HANDS DOWN the best cup of coffee in the state. The staff were friendly, the venue is Excellent - MAN - I can't wait to get back to Mammoth to have another coffee :) note: most Australians drink Espresso - and these guys KNEW how to properly prepare espresso and frothed milk drinks. THANK GOD for this shop! Y'all rock!”

“We visited Vulcania for the first time on October 1st, 2026. The hostess was able to seat us before our reservation time, at a nice table with a booth seat along the exterior wall. Our server, Paige, offered us cocktails just as we were seated. Paige was very attentive and friendly, explaining the shared entree concept Vulcania uses. Sharing two entrees worked perfectly for my wife and I. We started with a shared Caesar Salad, it was a very good salad and sharing gave each of us ample portions. We ordered two entrees, Orecchiette Nero, and Rigatoni with arrabbiata sauce, both dishes were excellent. We like our pasta with a little spicy flavor and the rigatoni was perfect for us. The Orecchiette Nero was a dish that we have never experienced. It had a nice lemon touch, and the crab in the dish offered another layer of flavor, we both loved it. Paige took excellent care of us and was very attentive and friendly. Our first visit to Vulcania was memorable, not only the meal, but also the decor and the service. We will be going to Vulcania again, on our next visit to Mammoth Lakes.”

I agree it might be slightly higher prices but I think it's the area. You will get delious food. I got my food fast and no unnecessary lines for bougie overpriced food.”

“Friendly place- we arrived the minutes before they closed for their lunch but they never rushed us. The BEST vegan pho! Thin sliced tofu, bok Choy and mushrooms were beautifully arranged over noodles and tasty veggie broth. THE food came out quickly- and we ate quickly only because it was so good! They also had options for vegan boba drinks- nice seating outside, dog-friendly. And owner was super kind. Something I appreciated was the (homemade) chili powder, and and the creative toppings in the pho (instead of just tofu cubes or fake meat). We were on a road trip and I can’t wait to visit again- I would be a regular if we lived closer! Please try the vegan pho! Updated from previous review on 2026-10-05”
