“Just wanted to drop a note that every time I come here to Noodle-Ly, the owners make sure to say hi and we catch up, the staff are so friendly and fast, they make sure to accommodate and not to mention; their food is so comforting either on a cold day with a bowl of soup or a hot day with a cold drink or some of their snow cream (IYKYK). (And if you don’t know, please go try it).

Short ribs with gojuchang sauce (very flavorful broth you soak up with sour dough or simply sip with the spoon) is out of this world — A must try!

Wagyu beef corn dogs in yellow and purple maize with 3 in-house sauces are very crispy on the outside and delicious, textured Wagyu beef dogs on the inside — A must try!”

“Honestly that was a good sandwich. Grilled patties, caramelized onions, Pastrami. It’s rich and balanced. Fries were good too. Crispy and well seasoned. Thick cuts. But 23$ for that sandwich is insane. Probably will go back to starving on ski days.”

“Great bakery, however, I do have to say there were a few things about it that I think could be improved, which is why I only gave 4 stars. The baked goods are all incredible, we had the enchilada egg pie, quiche and the blueberry pudding crumble. All items were 10/10. Other than food being great, it always bothers me when a cafe/restaurant doesn’t have a menu, it puts the customer in an awkward position where they either have to ask about a bunch of items or roll the dice and hope the pricing isn’t going to come as a surprise. And if there are other customers waiting it makes it more awkward to have to ask for pricing. I like to peek at the menu and figure out what makes sense for my wallet + body, I like to look at these things ahead of time so I’m not rushed when I arrive. So I think adding a menu to the website or bakery itself is a good idea. Another consideration for customers, it’s very hot inside because they’re baking, don’t plan to work here or eat inside in the summer, we had to eat outside, which was fine but just something to keep in mind. They don’t provide WiFi here either so I’m less inclined to come here and work (I’m staying in a van whenever I’m in Mammoth) this is probably just a spot I would come to for a tasty baked item to go. One other thing I noticed was that I’m not sure that the baked goods get covered for closing, maybe they do and I just didn’t see that they were covered but I’m hoping that they do because the layout looked the same as when I walked in yesterday to buy something with no covers in sight. The drip coffee is pretty pricey, it’s tasty but Looney sells theirs for $3.75 (large) and here it’s $5.65 (large). Lastly, it’s sort of pricey, which I think reflects the quality, everything is indeed tasty here, but just something to consider if you don’t want to spend too much, you’re getting high quality food so just expect to pay for that. Overall we had a good experience here and will probably be back at some point, but it’s seems like there are better options for coffee which is what we really look forward to in the morning when we’re up here camping.”

“Hi - I travelled all over California, from Australia. Black Velvet Coffee made us HANDS DOWN the best cup of coffee in the state. The staff were friendly, the venue is Excellent - MAN - I can't wait to get back to Mammoth to have another coffee :) note: most Australians drink Espresso - and these guys KNEW how to properly prepare espresso and frothed milk drinks. THANK GOD for this shop! Y'all rock!”

The open kitchen is a nice touch and the order kiosk for take-out was super easy to use. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, but maybe most importantly, the pizza was awesome! The crust is super flavorful and the red sauce is far from generic. Looking forward to trying more of the fun options on the menu… Well done!”

“Large portion of guacamole. Also had 3 steak tacos with rice and beans. Definitely a 2nd meal for me. Served with lime wedges. Very good. I missed the part to let me know there were lots of raw onion on the tacos. So picky me I took them off, but loved the cilantro.”

Wendy the cashier (“like Peter Pan and hamburgers” as she introduces herself) is a national treasure. Her attentiveness and impeccable humor made our experience thoroughly enjoyable. She had warmly welcomed us at breakfast when we stayed here last year, and we were so glad to enjoy her hospitality this time around too.

All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. Make sure to get in line early in the summer before it gets long; and when the line does get long, more hikers should show the staff the patience and respect they deserve.”

“Stayed in Outbound Lodge and came him a few times for food and drinks.
Bar staff take their time to speak to their customers and we really felt valued by their service and them remembering us when we returned. Great service and can't praise the staff enough, even the ones who didnt directly serve us seemed to value us.
The bar was also great to speak to other customers.
Downside was the games room had loads of arcade machines but most seemed to be broken and controls didn't work properly. Frustrating as the games were really good and would have loved to play them with my children.”

“We had a great lunch at The Yodler Restaurant & Bar during our visit to Mammoth Lakes, and it was exactly what we were looking for after a morning of exploring.

The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and has that classic mountain lodge feel. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in.

We ordered the bratwurst with fries, a giant Bavarian pretzel with three dipping sauces, a fresh house salad, and a local dark beer. Everything was delicious. The bratwurst was juicy and flavorful, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the pretzel was huge, fresh, and came with excellent mustard, cheese, and dipping sauces. The salad was fresh, colorful, and a nice balance to the meal. The beer was cold and paired perfectly with the food.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair for the area, and the overall experience was excellent. If you’re in Mammoth Lakes and want great German-inspired comfort food with a relaxed atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

We’ll absolutely come back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!”
