“Friendly place- we arrived the minutes before they closed for their lunch but they never rushed us. The BEST vegan pho! Thin sliced tofu, bok Choy and mushrooms were beautifully arranged over noodles and tasty veggie broth. THE food came out quickly- and we ate quickly only because it was so good! They also had options for vegan boba drinks- nice seating outside, dog-friendly. And owner was super kind. Something I appreciated was the (homemade) chili powder, and and the creative toppings in the pho (instead of just tofu cubes or fake meat). “The menu offers a long list of wonderfully prepared items. Service was impeccable. Our server, Ryan, is super friendly and entertaining. The manager (0wner?) is very friendly and welcoming. Our friends of many years claim it was the best meal we have ever had together. Thanks for making our evening a real pleasure.”

“We visited Vulcania for the first time on October 1st, 2026. The hostess was able to seat us before our reservation time, at a nice table with a booth seat along the exterior wall. Our server, Paige, offered us cocktails just as we were seated. Paige was very attentive and friendly, explaining the shared entree concept Vulcania uses. Sharing two entrees worked perfectly for my wife and I. We started with a shared Caesar Salad, it was a very good salad and sharing gave each of us ample portions. We ordered two entrees, Orecchiette Nero, and Rigatoni with arrabbiata sauce, both dishes were excellent. We like our pasta with a little spicy flavor and the rigatoni was perfect for us. The Orecchiette Nero was a dish that we have never experienced. It had a nice lemon touch, and the crab in the dish offered another layer of flavor, we both loved it. Paige took excellent care of us and was very attentive and friendly. Our first visit to Vulcania was memorable, not only the meal, but also the decor and the service. We will be going to Vulcania again, on our next visit to Mammoth Lakes.”

The staff were friendly, the venue is Excellent - MAN - I can't wait to get back to Mammoth to have another coffee :) note: most Australians drink Espresso - and these guys KNEW how to properly prepare espresso and frothed milk drinks. “It was after 7 p.m., and all my usual coffee spots were already closed when I casually stumbled upon Side Door Cafe. What a great little find! The cafe may be small and cozy, but their coffee is definitely big on flavor.

It’s such a cute and beautiful spot, with a tempting selection of pastries and plenty of delicious coffee options to try.

I didn’t go too fancy this time because I was really craving a cortado (macchiato), but when I saw they had lavender, I couldn’t resist adding it to my double shot. Such a good combination! The coffee was excellent—creamy, smooth, and full of flavor.

I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their coffee menu… and next time, I may have to stay a little later and check out their wine bar too. ☕🍷

“The Mill is our go-to for a midday break from the slopes. The bartenders here are fantastic – friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome.
The pulled pork and tri-tip sandwich is absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and just what you need to refuel before heading back out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the ideal spot to recharge.
We stop here every time we're at Mammoth, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!”

“A worldly, creative menu, and delicious food with great presentations! Most of all, when Chef presented each dish to us, he took time to explain his cooking methods and introduce us to his special ingredients. This added a very nice layer of anticipation to our meal and made our entire dining experience very enjoyable! Thank you very much, Chef!

Short ribs with gojuchang sauce (very flavorful broth you soak up with sour dough or simply sip with the spoon) is out of this world — A must try!

Wagyu beef corn dogs in yellow and purple maize with 3 in-house sauces are very crispy on the outside and delicious, textured Wagyu beef dogs on the inside — A must try!”

“Great bakery, however, I do have to say there were a few things about it that I think could be improved, which is why I only gave 4 stars. The baked goods are all incredible, we had the enchilada egg pie, quiche and the blueberry pudding crumble. All items were 10/10. Other than food being great, it always bothers me when a cafe/restaurant doesn’t have a menu, it puts the customer in an awkward position where they either have to ask about a bunch of items or roll the dice and hope the pricing isn’t going to come as a surprise. And if there are other customers waiting it makes it more awkward to have to ask for pricing. I like to peek at the menu and figure out what makes sense for my wallet + body, I like to look at these things ahead of time so I’m not rushed when I arrive. So I think adding a menu to the website or bakery itself is a good idea. Another consideration for customers, it’s very hot inside because they’re baking, don’t plan to work here or eat inside in the summer, we had to eat outside, which was fine but just something to keep in mind. They don’t provide WiFi here either so I’m less inclined to come here and work (I’m staying in a van whenever I’m in Mammoth) this is probably just a spot I would come to for a tasty baked item to go. One other thing I noticed was that I’m not sure that the baked goods get covered for closing, maybe they do and I just didn’t see that they were covered but I’m hoping that they do because the layout looked the same as when I walked in yesterday to buy something with no covers in sight. The drip coffee is pretty pricey, it’s tasty but Looney sells theirs for $3.75 (large) and here it’s $5.65 (large). Lastly, it’s sort of pricey, which I think reflects the quality, everything is indeed tasty here, but just something to consider if you don’t want to spend too much, you’re getting high quality food so just expect to pay for that. Overall we had a good experience here and will probably be back at some point, but it’s seems like there are better options for coffee which is what we really look forward to in the morning when we’re up here camping.”

“It started with an amazing cheese plate in the lobby area accompanied by live music. We moved to a lake view table in the dining area and continued with a beet and date dish that stole the show. Service was top notch, main courses were fantastic and dessert was perfect. Highly recommend the experience.”

“Locals parking lot and puppy lovers. Access to only 2 chairs vs main or canyon which offers more chair access. Be aware of huge lines when u park there. Chair 2 & 10 usually have frequent holds.”

The chef knows what he’s doing. Had some of the best food I’ve had in Mammoth at this restaurant.

The views are great. What can beat full window views of a run/overlook the lower part of the resort?

And best of all, the staff are great! One of the few places around where you feel “noticed” and important. Erin at the host stand is extremely welcoming. We were also served by Julia and Billy on different days. You take two sips and they’re back offering you more soda or water. And all staff seemed genuinely interested in your day, well being, and comfort.

“Very cute place inside Juniper Springs Resort. They have Starbucks coffee and milk alternatives (like oat). They also have various food items you can pick up to go. No seating here - all takeout.”

“Bloody Marys are masterfully crafted, perfectly peppery, and just the right amount of spiciness. The Mill is the perfect on mountain spot to grab a drink and hang out in a lounge chair. I got an order of the chili cheese fries and was pleasantly surprised!While there's not a lot of indoor seating, there's plenty of outdoor hightops by the bar that open up quickly as well as patio tables and lounge chairs closer to the lifts.”

Wendy the cashier (“like Peter Pan and hamburgers” as she introduces herself) is a national treasure. Her attentiveness and impeccable humor made our experience thoroughly enjoyable. She had warmly welcomed us at breakfast when we stayed here last year, and we were so glad to enjoy her hospitality this time around too.

All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. Make sure to get in line early in the summer before it gets long; and when the line does get long, more hikers should show the staff the patience and respect they deserve.”

“We picked up pizza and wings and it was all excellent! Cool and comfortable atmosphere with tons of seating and a huge bar. The open kitchen is a nice touch and the order kiosk for take-out was super easy to use. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, but maybe most importantly, the pizza was awesome! The crust is super flavorful and the red sauce is far from generic. Looking forward to trying more of the fun options on the menu… Well done!”

“The chicken pot pie empanadas were a unique, creative appetizer. We all liked them very much. The meat dishes featured a good quality meat. If you're a meat eater, stick with meat dishes such as beef stroganoff, beef bourginon or filet. They are your best bet. The airline chicken crashed on the landing as it was exceedingly dry. Out of the 5 dishes we ordered, 4 were hits and one was a flop, so I'd say it was a hit overall. Good wine list. Nice servers. Lively bar.”

“All time Best Mexican food ever.
We travel a lot and were impressed with the quality and quantity of food for our buck. We stopped for lunch and had the Enchilada dish and Chicken Chimichanga.
The Chimichanga was huge 3 times the size we've ever had, it was packed with white juicy chicken meat, the beans and rice were on the side instead of inside like most restaurants do.
The Enchiladas were delicious too!
The service was great and consistent with everything else we experienced.
When we're in the area we will diffinintly return. 😋”
