Easily one of the best dining experiences in all of Mammoth, hidden at the Tamarack Lodge in plain sight. The intimate dining room is perfect when the snow is falling and cold outside. The food and wine list is very well curated. I’ll definitely be back.
Outstanding food and service. Accommodated our needs. Dinner started with an amuse bouche. Bread and butter was served without an extra charge. This was the best meal I've had in a long time. I will always return when I visit Mammoth or Lee Vining.

I was a little disappointed in our experience with the Lakefront restaurant. Highlights: The Elk was cooked perfectly and the dish was great overall. Nice cocktail list, and the ambience takes you back in time. Lowlights: The wine list was the usual mass produced wines one might expect to find in a normal California dining establishment. Not many intriguing offerings considering a Master Somm curates the list. I would have expected some nice esoteric bottles that would be interesting...read full review
