Local and fun I had a world class BLTA. Pool table great old bar!
Our local recommended Tiger Bar & Cafe, and we’re so glad we took their advice! We stopped by for a quick bite and a drink; it turned out to be a fantastic experience. We sampled two appetizers—Cauliflower Bites and Macaroni and Cheese Bites—and both were fantastic.
Tucked up in June Lake, this place felt like the the real deal—a small, scuffed-up dive brimming with actual soul. No shiny corporate nonsense or polished pretense, just a packed room full of locals, woodsmoke, and loud, honest laughter. In an America where every spot is starting to look the exact same, finding a bar this alive felt like hitting the lottery. Absolutely glad it’s here and that I got to experience it.

Tiger Bar & Café is a nice spot in downtown June Lake, ideal for a post-biking meal. The service is generally good, and the food is fresh and hot, featuring options like the Hawaiian burger, patty melt, and homemade potato chips. The bar is fully stocked, and the atmosphere is cozy with old timer decorations and music. It is a popular watering hole and a great spot for families or individuals, close to ski slopes and lakes. While the food is mostly good, there have been some mixed feelings about the coffee. The menu leans towards bar and grill options, often fried, and food is usually served warm. Although the service can be hit or miss, the owner is friendly and provides a brief history of the restaurant, which is the longest continuously running restaurant in California.
