We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we went to this superb restaurant which we didn’t know before. We spent a beautiful time there with exceptional dishes and a well-trained team and an impressive chief cook. We put this venue in our list and we will no doubt return very soon. We highly recommend.
Tried this spot once with my friend and I am addicted ever since. I enjoyed the good atmosphere and yummy food and beverages. Keep up the good work.
Quaint, super friendly and attentive even though I didn’t have a reservation and she was super busy. Amazing food and wine...the baked Brie is a must and the Omen Pinot Nior as well.
Every course at Sage was excellent. When I looked at the menu, I was a bit concerned. Very old fashioned, the kind of food I might have seen in the '70s. But ignore that! Everything was prepared to very high standards. My wife had an excellent salmon and my pork tenderloin was superb. The homemade ice cream and a perfect creme brulée finished the meal perfectly. If you're in or near Bishop, you should go.
Dinner was excellent. I had the filet mignon. This was a great find.
This restaurant is obviously one of the most attractive place in the area. Every time I come there I am greatly pleased. They maintain their very high level service and the highest level of meals they serve. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Highly recommended.
The customer service is consistently rapid, great mood, super friendly staff. Will return again when I am here.
Lovely place with high quality food. By far the nicest place in Bishop for a dinner out. My salmon was fantastic!
Sage is one of the best restaurants in town, service is always great, food is always perfect, worth every penny. If you're looking for a classier, American fare, with a special flair, definitely check out Sage!
We definitely go to Sage for our date nights. The staff are great, and so is the food.

Great restaurant, amazing atmosphere. They were very understaffed when we visited. Heather, our server was working exceedingly hard; she doubled as the hostess and the busboy but never missed a beat. The food was exceptional. And the desert was heavenly. Only one pet peeve for the owner / manager, please delete your $2 bread refill policy. It just seems petty, and cheapened the overall experience. I seriously doubt that for patrons who refuse the bread that they get a $2 credit on their bill. Truly, the only place were we've been charged for bread refill.
My husband and I had dinner recently at this restaurant. The food was very good, the hostess/waitress/bus person Heather was quite excellent and kept a very good mood even though she was extremely busy. We were thrown for a loop when we saw on our bill that there was a $2 charge for a bread refill, of which we weren't told. That alone lowered our opinion of this restaurant. We never before encountered such a thing. We are still of the opinion that this was a good dining experience and we would recommend this restaurant.
I would highly recommend Sage Bistro (RESTAURANT) We went to Bishop during a holiday weekend and made reservations for the next evening. The wait staff was fantastics, she checked on us without being overbearing. The food was impressive, my husband had pesto linguini with shrimp (which was fresh and delicious) and I had seared tuna with a wonderful aioli which was delicious served with pureed carrots and other seasonal veggies. The one roasted brussel sprout that I got was delicious and made me want more. We will definitely visit this small off Main Street restaurant the next time we visit Bishop. There are other dishes on their menu that I would love to try.... thanks we LOVED it!!!
A wonderful little gourmet restaurant in Bishop! We love that the food is fresh and made from scratch everyday. We have never had a bad meal & the service is great.
My vegan daughter and I arrived late in the day in Bishop and visited Sage based upon a Yelp review. The restaurant is easy to find and takes reservations. I would recommend making them, although we walked in right after opening. We started with the sauteed mushrooms w/o dairy. I had the tender-cooked chicken Picatta with an excellent mushroom risotto, while my daughter enjoyed the well-prepared and beautifully presented Medley of Grilled Vegetables with tomato coulis on the side. My dinner was paired with a disappointing Chardonnay (I don't recall the name), so I upgraded my second glass to a Sauvignon Blanc recommended by the waitress. We left there under $100 having enjoyed possibly the best meal of our weeklong roadtrip. I would go again.
