The Prime Rub was a disappointment. It was really small and it and the squash was cooked in fry oil and that's all I could taste. And it cost $35...😵‍💫 We also got the Pub Schnitzel it wasn't even seasoned and all we could taste is the fry oil. Good attempt though. Maybe a salad would be ok but we won't be eating there again...

Enough is enough. Gosh I REALLLLLLY did not want to write this review. From the bottom of my heart I tried so hard to just be kind and let it go but like I can't. Are you guys serious blue lake???? This is all you can do for your feature restaurant? I'm an experienced server of all kinds of settings, a banquet captain, event planner. I love love love hospitality. This is the saddest thing I've ever seen and I mean casino or not. If we're comparing to other california casinos which I've been to about 80% of, this is so NOT BLUE LAKES STYLE. If there is a head chef there he needs to leave. I am so sorry but I'm not. I've worked under many Michelin stars, many with none. And i know what someone who can cook looks like, and what someone who hates their life and slaps things together for a paycheck.This is absolutely disgusting. There are so many people in the food industry who want their own restaurant in a venue like this. If youd like some reference numbers, i have some. The menu has NEVER ONCE been consistent. The food is arguably 9 times out of ten not worth the money. The menu has almost no structure to it, and for some reason almost every menu item is paired, dipped or drenched in a sickeningly sweet sauce. Every night theres been a special not one person has told me about it. Still haven't had any pasta or fried chicken. I have literally had ONE server that ever served my table there, her name is chelsea go little rockstar. What i mean by that is shes literally the only one who actually refills waters, asks about condiments, makes good suggestions, has a smile and something nice to say, etc. The other times were completely just atrocious. The server who made this experience the absolute worst did things like tell us "well everything here sucks so I recommend just chicken strips." She also refused to comp a meal I ate three bites out of and sat and waited 20 minutes before giving us this bill that I didn't even eat to see if we'd dine and dash so she could get us in trouble. She also absolutely ruined our Thanksgiving dinner and I paid to bring my parents out to Sacramento. We skipped traeger smoking our own dinner for THIS? For Thanksgiving she intentionally took 15 minutes to bring my iced tea as she knew that i was watching her let everyone that got seated AFTER US go eat at the buffet, then as she came over she stared at all of us for about 2 minutes without saying anything like we should know what's going on and then explained it to us like little children and gave us permission to eat. That wasn't okay, my family just got done hiking trinidad. This server also has never met hygiene standards with very poorly washed hair and face, which is typically low to mention but at this point, do you guys care even about health code standards? And why have I seen so many see through leggings 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 so offputting. She snickered and rolled her eyes when I had the courage to ask for au jus and horseradish for my father because it's his favorite not mine and I was actually in tears at this booth. Why? Why such awful service? Why is it almost personal now? Does seriously no one in this entire county not care about hospitality? Is there a reason why I now always have to go off site just to eat with how much my family gambles? This is seriously so upsetting. Please, fix Alice's. Worst Thanksgiving I've ever had. Very upset.
I will literally not be stepping foot back there nor will my family until I know new management has taken over and the new serving staff isn't going to act like an abusive boyfriend to me just so I can eat. I am so freaking upset blue lake. Do better.
Also, that is never how you should run a buffet line. The sternos should ALWAYS BE LIT. IF UTENSILS GET SOILED BY CROSS CONTAMINATION THERE SHOULD BE A DISH PIT RESOLUTION ASAP. DESERT TRAYS SHOULD NEVER BE ON THE FLOOR USE A TRAY OR TAKE IT BACKSTAGE. And to Devin, I gave you several verbal and visual cues that something was so wrong. Why was I ignored? DO

Noisy, Cold, Uncozy, and Smokey

When we dined there, the grill was broken, so the food choices were limited (no burgers, steaks, etc.).

There were four problems with this restaurant:

1. Noisy. There was very loud music playing over the speakers while we ate. The cooks were talking loudly over the music and using colorful language. I didn't mind the F-bombs, but if you have kids, be warned. I can't believe the management allows that.

2. Cold. It was unusually cold, perhaps because there were very few people in the casino or the restaurant.

3. Uncozy. The restaurant, open to the casino, has an industrial feel. Much of the floor is poured cement.

4. Smokey. Smoke from the casino flows into the restaurant.

Note that there is no breakfast. You can get limited breakfast at the deli, but the eggs are made from a powder.

We had lunch at Alice's on July 26,2024...Was seated promptly, water poured & order taken, waitress brought our food out she stopped and had quiet a conversation with the cook, she did not come back to check on us & when she left the check failed to clear the plates off table. Loud conversation continued, they both seemed more interested into social hour than waiting on their customers..

Ordered the Prime Rib eye and it was delicious (a bit salty though, at least for myself). Request for medium rare but got almost well done, it does came out still soft, generous portion and staffs are nice and friendly.

Kid-friendliness: They offer crayons and colouring sheets right away for our kids

Came here just to share with my family and a friend a place thought had a good burger and a beer for a late lunch. Im with my 35 year old friend and im pushing 45. I have my 8 year old daughter with me. I ordered one of the IPAs and offered my friend to taste. The waitress comes over and says that she needs to see his ID since he didnt order the drink from her. He said its in the car but he doesnt want to hoof it out to the parking lot and that he wont taste mine again. We apologized and were very polite.. I told her i understand and dont want to get her in trouble. She then goes over to the host station and is chatting with 3 other servers staring at us and talking. Then 10 min later the head of security shows up to our table and tells us that he will alow us to finish our food but after that my friend is banned from the casino for 30 days. im in shock and really feeling uncomfortable now. I look at him and say... you never asked me for my ID when i ordered... we've been compliant and made a mistake. He stares at me blankly. I then tell him ive lost my appetite and were leaving now. You dont need to ban him were never coming back here again. We paid the bill .. i tipped and left my full beer on the table minus a sip. My thought is that it must have been a quiet day and they were really board. If you want to go to have lunch and pay a lot of $$ for ok greasy food. Be stared out by 3 waitresses standing around, a security team that watches you eat through a camera and possibly harassed for just being there.. then this place is for you.

I’m a local and use to love coming here but recently I had the worst experience. First off the prices have gone up considerably. Beware.Second … I brought my friend to come have dinner with me and my daughter. I asked the waitress about the brewery IPA and when it came I was disappointed… that’s fine I made another order for a beer I knew would be to my liking. I asked my friend if he wanted to taste the ipa. He took a sip. The waitress came over and asked him if he had ID. He had left it back in the truck. She asked for him to get it or to refrain from partaking. We said of course.. not a problem. He didn’t want to go all the way to the truck because he didn’t want to drink.. so I pulled the ipa close to me and then continued our meal. He didn’t have another sip.10 min go by and the head of security approached our table. They told us that my friend is going to need to leave after the meal and banned for 30 days. I was shocked.. and felt the need to protect my friend and pay and just leave. I paid the bill and we told him that we will not be coming back. I left two full pints of beer on the table. My friend is 30 and I’m 43. They never carded me at all which I found strange. I think it was because of his appearance perhaps. ?.. it was just so uncomfortable.

I had a not so pleasant service at Alice’s. The food was great but the wait staff that helped me was not great at all. Not even good. Not even mediocre… The waitress didn’t ask how my food was, how everything was, or if I needed a refill. She asked all the other tables but me and even when I did get her attention she took 10-15 mins just to get back to me. Jeremiah the supervisor was the best! Listened to me and was very sympathetic. He ran to find me to apologize. I will return because of Jeremiah. You’re the man! I don’t ever do reviews but he took care of me and I will do the same for him. Much appreciated, brotha!

The staff was nice.I ordered the ribeye, it was such a thin cut and way over-cooked...the fries were good.Its not that bad, but I don't think I'll eat there again.
