The food was amazing really creative sushi rolls and fresh fish. Good selection of sakes. Some kitchen entrees for anyone who is not into seafood. Waitress was lovely always checking on us and willing to take more orders as we progressed with our rolls. Lovely

This was our first but not our last visit to Sushi Blue. Yes, you need to walk through the Casino, but the restaurant was great. Tucked in the Casino, the ambiance was quiet. Love the table lights so you can easily read the menu. Very friendly staff greeted us and our server was prompt, polite, and welcoming. Great service and the variety of rolls and sushi was well presented. Will come again.

Always a great experience with great service and really creative, fresh and delicious food. I follow chef Pangnou Vang on Instagram and you get to see her specials. She used to work at Kyoto and I loved eating there! The restaurant is also kid friendly, and they can really work with gluten-free options.I wish the sushi bar was not low and it had stools so you could be much more interactive with watching them make all this creative food. The restaurant being located in the smoking section is not on the plus list, for sure. Also, Ramen! They serve it Friday and Saturday nights and it’s absolutely delicious! I know the chef uses locally sourced pork bones for her broth.I added a bunch of pictures. The last one is of their Ramen.Vegetarian options: If there is not a vegetarian roll for you on the menu, I am sure the chefs can easily create you oneDietary restrictions: Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. Also, vegan/dairy freeParking: They even have free valetKid-friendliness: Ask for crayons and sea creatures to color

If you have not been to Sushi Blue yet - make a reservation and get ready to have your mind (and tastebuds) blown. The new restaurant is so beautiful, from the incredible Sonny Wong mural that catches your eye as soon as you walk in, the tasteful warm lighting, and the sushi chef station as the centerpiece, creating an elevated and artful dining experience. I love having the option to sit at the bar and watch my delicious meal being assembled. Lastly, but most importantly, chef Pangnou is doing god's work with her vision for how to feed her customers. You won't find this level of hi-quality seafood anywhere else in Humboldt, and it is so clear how much love is put into the entire menu.

I just had the best meal at Sushi Blue. Chef Pangnou never disappoints. The freshness, cleanliness and thoughtfulness shine through the fish. Don't sleep on this place. Kids are welcome as well. Omakase (chefs choice) is my favorite way to order.....just pick an amount you want to spend and advise on any allergies and let the kitchen surprise you.you won't be disappointed

This was my favorite sushi for a long time and I recommended to people all the time. Unfortunately since they have moved locations, the service and quality of food has decreased greatly. We gave it three tries and I don't think we will be back. The service was the main issue but the last time we went the sushi was not good either. The tempura veggies were very good however but that is not enough to get us back. The new restaurant design is nice.

A hidden gem and so worth the trip to this sushi restaurant. My husband and I arrived when they opened (1700) as the place is small and can fill up quickly. We decided to try the Omokase Experience - where the sushi chef prepares what he wants to serve that evening. OMG! We were treated to four servings: 2 sashimi and two roll type offerings - each brought out individually one after the other. It was nothing we would have ordered and we so enjoyed the different tastes and combinations our chef put together. Thank you for allowing us to experience your skills as a sushi chef. I didn't even use the wasabi soy sauce combo I usually enjoy at a sushi place. We were pleasantly full after the four offerings we stopped ordering though we wanted to continue. The four dishes, a small bottle of sake and a beer and it was the cheapest sushi bill I ever had.Parking: Good parking at the casino.

Pretty middle of the road sushi place. Too expensive for the quality. Biggest issue is that it is in the smoking area of the casino and cigarette smoke wafts in every time the door is opened. I would go back if they lowered their prices and got an air filter.

Food was not good, couldn't eat the mushroom roll. Servic was slow. we came in first, got served last. wait staff said they didn't have the staff. They should not have not charged us for some dried out mushroom roll we could not eat. the old spot was better. I'm never going back

Definitely my top 3 sushi restaurant in Humboldt! The new space is really fun and easy to be in.

Fine but not nearly as good as when the old chef was there. When he was there I would tell everyone it was the best sushi in Humboldt, now it's about the same as the other local sushi restaurants. Service was good. Like the new location but doesn't have the ambiance of the old spot - Miss the old art.

Sushi? Stop trying to create rolls that are not broken! Nice lobster, shrimp roll, served with melted butter, Really? Does not fit! Maybe a little unagi sauce, not butter! Looked at the menu, could not find a lot of special rolls that did not have a lot of fu fu in them! We are Sushi eaters, eggplant, mango, does not do a thing for the taste of good fresh fish. I remember a few years ago we visited this Resturant, Sushi Chef was trying all sorts of different taste ideas that did I not match, there are so many combinations of Sushi that can be combined together, most people really don't know what good rolls are! Best thing we ate, Ahi, arugula salad, very good, rainbow roll good, not any fu fu stuff! Like I said, don't try to fix what is not broken! Need improvement with creating some good rolls! Great service, nice new Resturant!
