Drakes Fireside Lounge

The Manila clams and halibut were prepared to perfection. The service was first rate: attentive without being intrusive; well informed about both the food and wine selections; very amiable in a welcoming way. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

I came for brunch on Sunday and it was fantastic food. The atmosphere in the fireside lounge was very pleasant. Also they were very accommodating, I booked my reservation for outside but it was a cold morning, and Patrick found us a table inside so we would be more comfortable. Lastly i believe are servers name was Wendy or Janelli , she was very friendly and sweet to us.

We had a lovely experience here. The staff was attentive, the food was delicious, and the service was well paced. We enjoyed one course and dessert while celebrating a birthday. The restaurant was quiet, with a beautiful view, and made for a very pleasant evening. Highly recommend. 

I have tried once before and it was ok so we tried it again and to be honest it's a total waste of money the food menu is very limited and portion size on a 50 cut of meat is way overpriced mushrooms where can not fresh my wife notices this like this being she is a chef save your money and time and go else where

Wonderful meals at Drakes, Breakfast & Dinner with lunch and Happy Hour at Drakes Fireside. Raquel was absolutely the best waitress/server EVER. Customer Service in general at The Lodge and at Drakes was exceptional, from Check-in to Check-out, a wonderful experience for our January Staycation. Only 25 miles from home (Santa Rosa) but truly “a world away”.

Food was outstanding and our server was so sweet! She made sure I got a birthday dessert even though we were full. So sweet

Raquel was great as our server. Made the dinner even better with knowing just when to visit the table, and for what. Excellent.

Outstanding meal - the shrimp artichoke dip and pork chops were amazing. Great service and ambiance too!

Great date/night happy hour location. Views are stunning. They have happy hour (drinks only not food) Monday-Thursday. As far as luxury experiences go: the decor could be updated a little but the service and food are top notch!

First visit from out of town. Enjoyed our visit. Wife had the duroc porkchop and I hadthe Blick rice bowl with haddock.

Great food but we had to wait almost an hour for our food to arrive. And the place was not crowded at all. Totally unacceptable.

Overall disappointing experience. Started with a very odd window table arrangement which required you to sit at an angle to one another (2 people) and stare at the reflective windows. Oysters were small and had parts of shell. Mains were ok, halibut was over cooked and we found a pice of plastic in one dish. Service was hit and miss. Disappointing and didn't stand up to what is a great hotel.

Not too good. The pesto bucatini was uninspired. The hamachi crudo was old and fishy tasting. We sent it back. The tapioca desert was good. I would not recommend this expensive restaurant.

Given that this is considered one of the “best” restaurants in Bodega Bay, we were extremely disappointed. We've been RV camping at Doran for over 20 years and used to frequent this place often before Drakes took over. Unfortunately, the prices are now outrageous for the quality of food. Service was fine but clearly short-staffed, so we waited quite a while for our Sunday “brunch,” — which turned out to be the same as their regular breakfast menu. My over-easy eggs were cooked hard, and the potatoes were overly crispy — and this was at 9:30 a.m. Don't bother, unless you are staying at this overpriced hotel and it's included....

I had the rock cod sandwich (no bread) with chips and coleslaw. It was good. My husband had the chef salad and it also was good. Our friends had the cuban sandwich and the caesar salad with chicken and they both enjoyed their meals. It was great to meet up at Drakes because we could talk and it was not loud.
