I had to move my pipping HOT bowl of clams to use the plate beneath. Nope, we'll stick to Terrapin.

Simple roast chicken was the best I can remember in the last 20 years. My wife had pasta with clams, which were also memorable. Or waitress was Scarlett. She was very pleasant and patient and helpful. My Cabbage side dish was a little firm and slightly bitter but the sauce was excellent and paired well with chicken and I ended up eating every bite so I have to consider that a success too.
The rainbow trout had no flavor and a weird egg salad on top that was not mentioned in the description. the potatoes inside were soggy. The fish was cooked very well, but just no flavor.

The view of the ocean as so beautiful from our table. Our waitress was great and so was the rest of the wait staff. The food was fresh and very good. The only thing missing was a wish for our anniversary (previously disclosed). We will be back!
We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Drakes Sonoma Coast while we stayed at The Lodge at Bodega Bay, and it was a good experience overall. The Artisan Bread Basket For Two with seaweed butter was a tasty start, but the Little Gem Caesar salad could use some improvement. Moving on to the main course, we shared the Whole Roasted Rainbow Trout. While it was cooked well, we felt it lacked a bit of seasoning and perhaps a touch more care in its preparation. On a brighter note, dessert redeemed the meal. The 'Sweet Potato Pie' was a delightful finish, leaving us satisfied and content. Additionally, the surprise of a free Chocolate Dome for the birthday celebration added a special touch to the evening. While there were some areas for improvement, the overall experience was decent, with good food and a thoughtful touch for the occasion.

Enjoying a meal outside by the fire pit while overlooking the breathtaking beauty of Bodega Bay is truly unparalleled. I've visited this restaurant several times, and each visit has been marked by consistently excellent service, delicious food, and tasty cocktails. While Bodega Bay boasts several restaurants with stunning views, this particular spot has become one of my absolute favorites due to my frequent cravings for its creative and delicious menu. I find myself drawn back time and again, eager to sample everything they have to offer.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a very kind and professional gentleman working in the fireside lounge on 4/15, who got us seated outside of his section so we could have the table we most desired.Proceeded to be served by Hallie, who was professional yet very personable. We were going to share salad and soup, but she recomended the pork chop and luckily we took her suggestion and added it on.Quick shout-out to the busser, perfect timing and we were never without whatever we needed.Okay, this pork chop. It was absolutely perfect. Ive never had anything like it. I was convinced it was sous vide but our server said they were just commited to ensuring it didnt come put dry.Youre missing out if you dont stop by to try it, and recieve some of the best service around.

Felt the menu item descriptions on menu didn't match what was served. A bit misleading. Service and ambiance was great. Food and pricing were far off. Place goes dead around 8pm. Which is shame with all its charm.

Very popular restaurant located in the Lodge at Bodega Bay. Restaurant was full on a Saturday night. Upscale interior with nice woodwork. Wonderful place for special celebrations, gatherings with family and friends, or date night. Food was solid. Excellent customer service.
Service was great and so was the food. Very limited menu, but it was all very well done. I would go back there, but it's a semi fancy spot in otherwise rustic Bodega Bay!

A lovely restaurant in a lovely establishment. The service is incredible: the long lost art of excellent service with a smile, two nights in a row! The little gem ceasar is memorable: I ordered it two days in a row. The clam/chorizo appetizer to die for. Try to get your hands on the burger at some point (served in the adjacent FireSIde Lounge). I had not had a great burger in way too long! Minor quips: Main dishes have some really good quality meat: my only request would be to add more vegetables. Ditto for kids: something as simple as steamed frozen veggie mix goes a long way.
Great food, excellent service and a wonderful view! If I had one critique it would be making signage to the restaurant a little more clear. But that's small in comparison to the experience. Would go back in a heartbeat. ?

We made a reservation for a party of 8. When we arrived they put us in the bar. If you know Drakes it’s all about the view and dining room. The manager insisted she told us we would be in the bar which she did not. The manager was very rude. Do yourself a favor and make reservations at Terrapin or Hazel if you want decent service. We live locally in Bodega Bay and we never go to Drakes and now I will never go back. There are much better places to dine than Drakes.

It was everything we remembered - they even had some of the things we had enjoyed then on the menu and they were just as good as we remembered! Delicious! Friendly staff and not overly busy or noisy!
