My friend and I were in Occidental CA. Wanting to go to Bodega Bay 1/2 drive for lunch at the Fisherman's Cove, the place that people rave about. Now I know why LOL. A really cute place with both indoor, patio seating and stools by a counter to look out at the bay. We arrived around 3:30 PM and got super lucking with parking. A car was pulling out as we entered. When you walk in, it's like a country store, that serves food. Menu is on the wall along with a board with specials. You order and pay at the counter. You are given a number that your food get delivered to wherever you are seating. We decided on the Calamari and Chips, Dozen Raw Oysters and a couple of ice cold Lagunitas IPA. I tell you these oysters I had were so fresh, fairly big, creamy and delicious. The calamari, light, crispy and perfectly fried! We say at the window counter eating while admiring the beautiful view if Bodega Bay. Atmosphere: Off the dock seafood feel. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

My review will only solidify what everyone else here says. We popped by around 4pm on a Saturday and as expected they were busy and well packed, that being said the overall wait time wasn't too bad at all. We ordered the half dozen of raw oysters, a crab sandwich and a lobster roll with a side of fries. Every single aspect of this meal was 10/10 delicious, fresh, juicy, and worth the price tag. Oysters were big and even buttery? Crab sandwich was about the size of your average sandwich with plenty of meat, same goes for the lobster roll. Both well balanced in flavor and size with freshness speaking volumes. The French fries weren't over cooked, they weren't too salty or too greasy, overall really really good. I'd highly recommend this place, just be prepared to spend some money :) You get a nice view of The bay if you choose the outside sitting, with the wind blowing you get a nice ocean breeze smell that just works.

We initially drove over here to eat at another place but walked in here first. I was pleasantly surprised by how well kept the interior of the restaurant was and the open kitchen. Everything smelled amazing and each dish I saw, being delivered to tables as I waited to order looked so tasty. The crab sandwich was perfect. The bread was warm and toasted perfectly, it was crispy on the sliced interior of the sandwich, like it was pressed on a flat top. The crab itself was delicious. The crab meat was cold and well dressed, in a dill cream sauce that allowed for the clean fresh crab taste to come through and texture against the warm bread was absolutely perfect. The prawns are not to be missed. The breading is light and fluffy, I kept thinking about how fresh the prawns tasted for hours after we ate them. I was also very surprised at how tasty the tar tar sauce is. The only thing here that was odd, was the raw sliced carrot that was randomly served with the crab sandwich. I felt it was an odd accompaniment and could have been pickled , roasted, shredded, anything but just long ways sliced and dropped on the basket next to the perfect crab sandwich.

Stopped on a whim and we were not disappointed. Great menu options - I had the halibut and it was delicious. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Glad there was indoor dining as well.

As authentic as it gets. Oyster selection is outstanding and Halibut & chips are the best I've ever had. Staff is super helpful to make every visit enjoyable.

I ordered the lobster roll and french fries everything was hot fresh cooked perfectly. The fries were probably one of the best fries I've ever ever had. The bread was toasted perfectly with just the right amount of butter on the flavor of everything was very fresh and hot.

Our favorite fish and chips spot in California! The local halibut fish and chips are incredible. Lightly battered and full of flavor. The chips are also well seasoned and crispy on the outside with soft potato on the inside. The BBQ oysters are huge and delicious. We like the butter and garlic flavoring. The fried oysters are also done really well. They get pretty busy on the weekends and their parking lot is tiny, but can park along the road and walk there. They have 1 bathroom but across the street there are 2 public restrooms to use if it's too busy. Also you can order online or call ahead if you don't want to stand in line.

I only tried the oyster and clam chowder. My friends and I spent the weekend in bodega bay and needed something in our stomach. We never tried the seafood here so we stop by the fisherman's cove to try it out. It did not disappoint, people. The oysters were fresh and the sauce that they had our was good.

Probably some of the best fish tacos I've ever had! I also loved the chowder, but the fish tacos were for sure the star of the show. You can get grilled or fried, halibut or rockfish. You walk up and place your order, they give you a number, and you sit and wait for your food to be brought to you. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would imagine that this place gets busy during peak season. Will definitely be back! Yum!

The vibe is super casual and dog friendly! The food is amazing - from the fresh clam chowder to the fried halibut and chips! It's bistro style so you stand in line to order, receive a number, find a seat and then they deliver your order to you. Every table has condiments and napkins. I suggest everyone bring a really warm coat and hat because even on a sunny day the breeze is crisp & chilly! This is a place that you & your family will remember and want to return. RE: Parking Adhere to the signage and also know that our N. CA rainy season hit hard on top of it being right along the bay so you WILL encounter some potholes and areas where the earth has washed away. Park with the mindset - safety first & respect the locals and help preserve the beautiful environment.

Busy restaurant next door to Spud Point Crab Company. There was a long line at Spud Point so I decided to give Fisherman's Cove a try. Very friendly staff. Lots of seafood items to choose from. Tried half of a crab sandwich and clam chowder. Also had a taste of the lobster roll. The crab sandwich was good. Lobster Roll was just ok; one positive thing is it did have a lot of lobster meat in it. If I had a choice between the two, I'd definitely go with the crab sandwich. Clam chowder was good but I prefer my chowders to be a little thicker and heartier. Indoor and outdoor seating available but it can get crowded as this is a touristy location and there aren't a whole lot of restaurants in the area. Small parking lot but also ample parking along the road.

This place is casual but the seafood options are great. I regret not ordering the crab but my group of eight enjoyed many other options. - Clam chowder was meaty, creamy and tasty. - lobster roll had large chunks of lobster and definitely lobster focused. - Fried oysters and chips were amazing. The oysters were huge! - shrimp cocktail was light and refreshing with a nice wedge of avocado. - kids enjoyed the grilled cheese. I would highly recommend this spot for fresh seafood and a casual vibe.

Friendly staff. You get a number and they bring it to your table. The crab sandwich was no frills with lots of crab. It'd be nice for more options (crab melt, lettuce and tomato, etc.) but it was solid. Really great, light and crispy batter on the fried oysters. Would come back again!
