I'm probably never going to bodega bay again now that Lucas Wharf has closed and changed its owner. It's a rule that all the best things don't last so I'm not surprised.

Got the worst food poisoning. Had to pull over and called an ambulance. They said there was another person up the road who was also as sick as I was. I have never ever been that sick. Had to be admitted. I pretty sure it was the muscles. Don’t EVER eat here. You will regret it.

Had to stop here, because of the large crowds.Also there was a sign that stated " best clam chowder 2023 Sonoma county".We were not disappointed. We got a to go cup of clam chowder this time. Price was significantly better than that of the birds cafe . Below 10 dollars. As for the quality. Right on some of the best on my list.Clam chowder was thick, I believe they used cream in the stock, veggies were plentiful as well as the clam pieces. Flavor was not bland.I would consider it a top 10 place of clam chowder I've eaten in California.Btw the Lucas restaurant is closed for now. So sad!See my reviews of Fort Bragg, Monterey, Pismo Beach and Santa Maria for sea food and clam chowder.

Big city prices at remote waterfront location. The view of the bay is good. Fish and chips with salmon and rockfish is $30 though. Service was attentive if brusque and it feels like they optimized for the number of seats rather than ambience, but we enjoyed the experience, the view and the food.

We had no reservation but were given an excellent table with a nice harbor view. I had the clam chowder which was very good, and the surf&turf which also was excellent. Would definitely go there again on the next visit to Bodega Bay!

.y spouse and I ate here today as recommended from our hotel. Let me first say the food is fabulous but...the service and childish attitude from the bartender ruined our experience. We ordered their bloody Mary to start off. Now if the menu stayed the drink was garnished with shrimp ? I never would have ordered because I'm highly allergic. We informed our waitress the minute we saw the drinks on the bar. She informed the bartender who rolled his eyes, then simply pulled the garnish out and placed the drink back to be delivered. I called waitress back and my whole family explained that due to cross contamination I needed a fresh drink made. She argued that it was fresh not knowing what the bartender did. After refusing the drink she told bartender to make a new one and he threw an absolute fit. Mouthing what was probably profanity his body language was clearly upset. Now I use to own a bar and I must say regardless if I had to dump a drink my customers well being comes first. And with a small community such as bodega bay his attitude was so disrespectful and unapropriate that I will NEVER give my business again and I wish to warn the public that clearly having a serious allergy doesn't concern this restaurant.
