Didn’t have to wait too long for food but woman taking orders had an unfriendly tone and expression, did not seem like she was in a good mood. Got a table (it was a foggy Friday) easily. Crab sando was small, like a hot dog size bun, with mayo, nothing else. Fresh and tasty but lacking texture or color appeal. White clam chowder was tasty. I would have love to see more care for our environment with wooden/compostable utensils instead of all single use plastics and have recycling cans on site for all the aluminum cans. There are other eateries (I esp like Fishetarian) in the area where the food is great, more seating available and I see more effort for good customer service and concern for trash pollution.

I dont take pleasure giving rating that are less than stellar BUT for this amazing location...it was MEH. I had a crab sandwich and clam chowder. The sandwich was small and premade.. so if youre really hungry..order 2, luckily the crab was fresh but lacking in flavor,the roll was soft and squishy..toasting it would had kick it up a notch at least.....maybe have another option with more kick/flavor or spice would be awesome. The chowder was ok..I will say big chunk of clams saved it...hence ,only 3 star. But the food traffic and location?? Man...would be killing it. Instead of amazing..this wonderful location for me was only OK.

Overpriced and bland…
Clam chowder manhattan style was good though. But it also tasted like tomato soup.
Small sandwich :( … not worth $20

Waited over an hour in a line that was just inches from the road. Ordered two containers of clam chowder, two crab sandwiches, and a couple waters. It came out to $70. The crab was perfectly fresh and sweet, but their “homemade” bread was dry and flavorless. The chowder, voted “best on the coast”, had sand in nearly every bite. This place earns two stars only because of the service, which was incredibly fast and efficient once we made it to the ordering window. This experience was not worth the time and money spent. I would suggest going somewhere else.

Lines are long but quick as the items are prepared in advance. We ordered the crab sandwich, clam chowder and shrimp cocktail to go and ate them at the beach after we hiked along the bodega head trail. Sandwiches were a bit pricy but was well loaded w crab meat. New England clam chowder was amazing.

Got there early around 11 AM and luckily beat the crowd! They were only serving the white clam chowder today 😓 Definitely coming back to try the red one next time.
The chowder was super tasty, but the seafood sandwich could really use some veggies to balance the favor 🥰 Love the vibe around the sea!

The BEST clam chowder we have ever had. We recommend this place to our friends and now they are all fans, too. Be prepared to share a table or take it to go as this place is often busy.
