The Sawmill Restaurant & Ale House offers delicious food with a unique charcoal flavor in their burgers. The cheese burger, although not always prepared to order, has a pleasant texture and taste, while the BBQ burger is massive and perfectly cooked. The dry rub wings are 10/10, and the garlic fries are the real deal. The fried cheese curds are spot on, just like in Wisconsin, and the rib eye cheese steak is a must-try. The barbecue chicken wrap is incredible, and the fish tacos are also a hit.
The regular fries are seasoned well, and the soda tap has an enjoyable extra syrup. The service is friendly and aiming to please, creating a welcoming cowboy atmosphere. With a really great beer selection and generous portions, it’s a solid place to eat, even in the middle of nowhere. However, the prices are on the higher side. Overall, it is a great place to enjoy a meal every once in a while, offering amazing food and an awesome experience.
