I think that young lady at the counter has no experience in the restaurant business. Ordered chicken curry katsu and ended up getting pork katsu. Food was ok. It’s not the best, but also not the worst. Honestly, I had better food when Curry House was around. Good place to go for their lunch specials only. Underwhelming for a dinner place. They need to work on being more efficient serving their customers and bringing the food out faster.

I ordered the regular Curry Katsu Plate. The portion size was just right, and the katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender and juicy inside. The curry sauce was flavorful, but with a nice depth that complemented the katsu really well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone craving good katsu with curry.

The food was good and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The only complaint I have is that they forgot to give me a fork in my to go order and when I went up to the counter to ask for a fork, the two women up there saw me but they didn't ask if I needed help, I was trying to get their attention for two minutes unfortunately. And I saw the other to go orders that they were working get utensils. It kind of made me anxious. I understand when sometimes you are working on something you don't realize someone is standing there, but they saw me when they glanced over at me and even walked a different direction. But besides that, the people working there were nice. I wouldn't mind trying this place again sometime in the future.

Katsu Bar in Brea did not disappoint! If you are in a rush I recommend one of their sandos, which is so fun to eat with their crispy interior and their soft bread exterior. Have a little more time and you can enjoy one of their curry plates, noodles, or chef’s special! My favorite was the tteokbokki with mushroom katsu! Love the sweet and spicy flavor and the mushroom was so crunchy and fun to eat!
The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly and efficient.

Not a fan after first visit- 1. a walk in to go order took over 30min+ 2. When I get home I open my stapled bag to find NO KATSU sauce! 3. The bowl they put the katsu in “steamed” my chicken katsu so by time I got home (5min away) it was mush- not krispy at all.

Ordered via Uber eats App. I ordered the Kimchi Mandu. It said *No Meat* (asterisks and all) on the app. When I tried it, it felt like it had meat. I called to check. They said it was kimchi and pork. The website also does not include ingredients.
Other than that the food was good. I got the portobello sando. The bread was fluffy. And the mushroom was crispy and not oily. Good portion for lunch.
Dietary restrictions: Be careful. Some items may include pork. Even if it says no meat.

Specifically in regards to the two noodle bowls we ordered, one was the wrong item and the quality of the ingredients in both didn’t match the price in my opinion (a bit overpriced).
